RND will rack up the caps when he returns Good player - not convinced he’s a wing back. I’m sure he’ll be a good player for us in the next campaign. He was doing well at LWB for Sheffield United before his injury. Played well for us against the Netherlands during that time. I agree though he may be best at LCB, but either way he gets on the pitch for me

Scores, booked, sub'd. Seems that he had a good game.

Surely he's worth another look at wing back at some point

Another goal and an assist (for KM) I feel our Wesley is making a real claim for a start v Finland.

And the assist for KM.
Page said he wanted players starting regularly & in form, Burns fits the bill.

I think he'd be great at RWB but I can't see Page dropping Roberts. Would like to see Wes given time there for us though, especially given he's been used out of position in a lot of his games for us

Would be a risk starting him there in these games

Would be a risk starting him there in these games Must have seen Wes play about ten times this season - always attack-minded RW. Some sublime crossing ability as well. Yep, he's having a very good season in that position undoubtedly, but it just means he's competing against James, Brooks, Wilson, Johnson, Rambo (if fit), and Broadhead for two spots. Unless we change the system that is, which would be a mistake in my view because the much improved performances in the latter half of the campaign coincided with the switch to this system. It's too much of a risk to start him at RWB, so I can only see him having an impact as a sub for Roberts if we need a goal and decide to go for broke

If things are going against us versus Finland, then all three Ipswich players will be on the pitch by the 60 minute mark & it would make perfect sense to do so given the understanding that they are developing together. Same goes for the Leeds boys, it’s just such a shame that we need Ampadu in midfield as his current partnership with Rodon is nothing short of sensational.

I think he could do it and would test it in the Nations League. If we're desperately chasing a goal vs Finland I'd also consider it given he plays with Moore at club level now

Came on after 60' (fresh from slight injury) on the field for a minute and already getting the assist for the equaliser ;-) Tearing down the right channel and giving a fair few cut backs, that should have lead to more goals. Won a pen in injury time (missed poorly by Al Hamadi).

He’s having a fantastic season Fair play to him turning his career around. Was looking likely to be one of those players that were around the senior squad when young and totally disappear.

Having the most productive spell of his career and really coming into his own at Ipswich, long may it continue, I think he and Ipswich may surprise a few next season.

A great example of a player who's done it the hard way, a bit like Tom Lockyer Huge congratulations to Wes - will he be the first Welsh speaker in the Premier League since Ramsey? Also congratulations to whoever at Cardiff decided to release Burns & Lockyer, great job!
