And nothing wrong with nation getting behind our lads in France... Would not be my choice to go and watch at MS or even any other stadium on big screen.
Sparkling/daffodil hat sellers will be rubbing their hand for it lol

to be honest its a great idea to get the nation buzzing + to support the team in a party atmosphere, but its a thursday afternoon kick off!!!
The die hards will be out in france, the grown ups will be in work + the kids will be in school.
or am i missing a trick + the welsh assembly declaring all game days a national holiday??

This would be a big flop. They'd struggle to fill the CCS for this let alone the millennium

It's a bizarre comparison from Media Wales.
The Rugby World Cup semi final kicked off on a Saturday morning (when people in general weren't at work and kids weren't at school) and it was 9am (when many of the pubs in Cardiff were closed). The match they were watching was on the other side of the world.
Our match with England kicks off at 2pm on a Thursday. At least 7,000 of our regular fans will be at the game - but double that number of Wales fans will be somewhere in France. Take away those that are working, those that are in school and those that will watch it in their local rather than travelling to Cardiff and I'm struggling to see how we'd get 70,000 there. I'd love to be proved wrong!
And why would it be down to the WRU to organise it?! I know they own the Stadium but they've played no part in our Euro 2016 campaign.
Presumably the Western Mail will be the first ones to complain if there is trouble in the Stadium too. There are far more England football fans living in Cardiff than there were France rugby fans, so it's inevitable that fans of both nations would be in the stadium.
I suspect the "logistical reasons" Rihanna's managament referred to are actually to do with policing - and the resources the police would need to deal with a major concert in the capital of Wales on the same day as a major sporting event. There'll be lots of Welsh police over in France and I imagine any England match in a major tournament is a big drain on police resources across England as well. So I reckon it's a non starter to open a fanzone at the Stadium.

why they still going on about that clown who didn't get tickets haha Why would that bloke who didn't get tickets for Euros bother with going to the Principality Stadium for the England game? He's already said he's not going to bother with the Northern Ireland friendly and the opening World Cup qualifier!

The line that annoys me most in that article is "An entire nation will be suddenly interested in our football team".
Because of course the nation will have ignored us beating Belgium, qualifying for our first major finals in 58 years, having a big celebration party against Andorra, winning BBC Wales team and coach of the year, playing three warm-up matches against our fellow finalists, travelling to France, playing our first Euro 2016 game in front of around 15,000 Welsh fans in Bordeaux... And who knows, maybe winning that game.
No, it's all about England isn't it.

Personally i like the idea of holding an event like this, and if we beat slovakia i'd expect interest levels to be very high indeed.
I guess it would be free to get in?

I'd quite like the FAW to do things their own way.
How about opening up exec lounges / clubhouses at football clubs around Wales and issuing free tickets for local fans to watch the game? Eg. Cardiff City do "beam back" events at Cardiff City Stadium for some of their away matches, something similar could be done at each and every club with a big enough clubhouse.
Also - could local authorities and schools be persuaded to screen the Wales v England match in a school hall / classroom for those kids who want to watch? (NB. I realise this might not be possible at schools with a GCSE maths exam that afternoon).
Those things combined would create a great legacy - and get people across Wales involved.

I have already started lobbying the deputy head in the high school I work in to do something along those lines. At the very least whichever class is lucky enough to have a lesson with me that afternoon will be watching it in the classroom!
