Anyone on here got any knowledge of the HotelF1 chain of motels? We are driving about 2000 miles in the group stages and plan on seeing a lot of the country and just need a place to get our heads down on our travels www.hotelf1.com/gb/home/index.shtmlthanks

They are usually unmanned, you book in by putting your credit card in the machine on the wall, hence they are so cheap. Can't say what they are like inside as never been in one but as long as they have a bed that's all you need. The advantage of them being unmanned is no-one to see how many to a room.
Disclaimer: I am assuming they still operate this way as this was my experience of them a few years back.

Thanks both. Trying to keep it as cheap as possible because I've got to take Mrs Eric away for 2 weeks' sunshine in July school holiday and I've already booked Austria away!

They are decent enough for what they cost. If your staying at ones near the games, then take into consideration that you need to get to the ground. These motels tend to be on the city outskirts close to motorways. Good way to suck in all the atmosphere & meet fans from other countries I guess as well.

Football trips are with my big brother. Not romantic, but we have a laugh !

Only staying in one for the Bordeaux game. Getting train from Arras for Lens and driving to the airport after Toulouse

We're staying at one in toulouse for the night of the Russia game. Not got high expectations, just a place to dump the bags as I don't even know if we'll get back to bed as it's our last night and we will hopefully be out all night celebrating qualifying!

I stayed many a time in F1 in France and Belgium. There are even a handful of decent ones in the UK. It is mostly automated, but some will be manned. All the ones I stayed in had a double bed with a single bed above it (as a bunk-bed tier). The have automated/self-cleaning toilets and showers along the halls. Usually €29-€49 per night. I feel its very good value if you have a car. A pain to get to, without a car...

Taxi for Eric! Ah right, we're in Brodeaux Ville, a bit of a walk from the centre, and an inconvenient bus ride with changes, but it was cheap!
