2 of us looking to get to lille on the 15th and returning on the 17th.
Any ideas of the cheapest way to get there?
Eurostar prices are sky high on the 15th compared to other days!

where are you departing from?
you might benefit flying into Brussels / Charleroi with Ryan Air
from Charleroi airport there is a €5 bus to Lille (about 90 mins)
how about KLM from Cardiff to Brussels?
brussels is less than an hour from Lille

Train to calais then get ferry as foot passenger, train from calais. Cheap as.

Foot passenger prices don't seem that cheap. I've not researched them in depth, but the prices I got were about £30+ return. Combine that with the cost of getting to Dover from North or South Wales and the cost of getting to Lille from Calais etc, and some flights or Leigh's coaches seem cheaper/less hassle or better value.

Have a look at National Express / Eurolines. Their buses run to Brussels (and I think Paris). There are also buses from Brussels to Charleroi and then Charleroi to Lille. There are probably direct buses between Brussels and Lille.

Not exactly what you asked for but...
KLM flight from Cardiff to Paris is £149
Dept CF Thursday 16th at 6am
Arrive CDG Paris at 10.45am
Dept Paris Saturday 18th 1235pm
Back to CF at 4.45pm
Brussels Airlines does Bristol to Brussels international for £129
Dept Tues and return friday
(only 3 seats left...)

Have you looked at Megabus? Dates only up to end of April on their website at the mo. Cardiff to Lille return about £60 each uk.megabus.com/ |
