I know it may be considered tempting fate however is anyone organizing an out and back trip to this game. We have tickets for the pool games and last 16 although we are flying home after the Russia game and hopefully there will be at least another one to go over for.

We've booked a free cancellation in Nice but more relaxed about "up north". Should be plenty of choice up there!!!!

Paris if group winner
Nice if runner up
Lille if 3rd (9 out of 10 possible combinations)
Lens if 3rd (1 out of 10 possible combinations)

I am staying out there til the end - although return ticket is booked for 4 July at the moment (changeable for free).
Got three sets of throw-away Easy Jet / Ryan Air tickets along with 4 sets of youth hostel bookings.

Last 16 in Lens might mean an expensive taxi ride back to the hostel at midnight and semi-final in Lyon might be a bit uncomfortable, as the only accommodation I could find is a 14-bed dorm...

But happy to make the sacrifices ;-)

I'm due to come back on the Chunnel at 8pm on the Friday 23rd. So I could be straight back out on the Saturday if we win the group.
It'll have to be a package trip for me I think.

Isn't that the day of the game? What time is kick off 2100?

Already booked a free cancellation place near Nice and one in Paris as it's easy to get to Lille or Lens from there.

Loads of people will be cancelling places at the time though, so there will be a lot of choice. No doubt a lot of English fans will be booked up in Nice for example just in case, but if they don't come 2nd, a lot of places will suddenly become available.

Yes - kick off 21:00 (please correct me ASAP if you think different!) Airport is 6km from stadium and I'm travelling with no luggage so I figure plenty of time to land, get out of the airport and get a taxi/bus/sprint...

Does anyone know how the potential 3rd place fixtures are worked out? I've seen lots of people say Lille on the 26th is more likely but how are they working this out?

There are ten possible combinations whereby 4 of the 6 best placed 3rd place team ends.
9 out of 10 combinations lead to Lille.
Only one combination, albeit a probable one, leads to Lens - if teams in groups ABCD are the best 3rd placed

Thanks. So if Wales finished 3rd its a 90% chance of playing the winner of Germany's group on the Sunday in Lille, and a 10% chance of playing the winner of Spain's group in Lens on the Saturday. Either would be pretty special.

Yep. Would love to have the Spanish in the last 16 - totally do-able game.
Can't imagine getting anything from a game v Germany.
But, hey - we are gonna win the group and face Turkey / Czechs or ... Ukraine ... or Northern Ireland ... again ...
