So, those of you (myself included) without England tickets. Where are you planning to watch the match? I notice the faw have advised against travelling to Lens. Only 10,000 capacity at the fanzone and 100,000 fans expected. Will you travel to other French cities/fanzones? Or will you just stay at home and watch it locally? Where in Wales do you think will be the best place to watch the game? Any special events/screenings planned? Just curious because I'm losing the will to live on this frickin resale portal and becoming resigned to the fact I will not be getting that rocking horse shit ticket!

I'll be staying in Lille, at the Youth Hostel. Looking forward to watching the Slovakia v Russia game on the Wednesday. Got mixed feelings about using my freshly bought tickets for Northern Ireland v Ukraine on the same day as the England game (ko is 6pm in Lyon) - I assumed it would be possible to sell this on the re-sale portal ... but it isn't! At least not at the moment ... So it's either Fan Zone in Lyon ... or, dare I say it ... maybe further North in France ...

In a pub in Lyon. I have an hour after we get our train from Paris to find one that isn't full of Norn Iron.

There were rumours of fanzones around Wales (daily post and wales online so must be true) . Even here in the north - Bangor, Wrecsam, Aberystwyth were mentioned. Hope they make an effort somewhere anyway, otherwise its find the mate with the biggest telly and fridge!

I've also got a ticket for the Ukraine v Northen irelend game and was planning to use it a back up if that elusive England ticket doesn't turn up. But I've just realised that the new stadium in Lyon is miles outside the city so might be a push to make it in time for kick off with all the security?? Any idea where the fanzone in Lyon is?

Sounds like there are a few of us then! Yeah, I think this could be a problem. We get into Lyon about 1 hour before kick off in the wales v england game , and we're going to try and find a central bar to watch the match, but - as you say - the stadium is some way out, so it will be tight to get out to the stadium for kick off. I think the fan zone is in the Centre too. I was asking in another thread if (given that they are encouraging people to go the stadia early) there is any provision to watch the previous match (and grab a bite and a beer) at or near the stadium itself.

It would be ideal if they could put up a few screens up outside the staduims but it seems unlikely. Looks like it's going to be a mad rush across town.

I've a funny feeling we won't be alone with NI in town, and many looking to watch the match/maximise their beer time. I won't be devastated if we arrive after the anthems!
