I'm ok for a hotel room in Nice. Travel is a worry though. When I first started looking a few weeks ago return flights London - Nice (out Monday, back Tuesday) were around £100. Now up to £140. Hate to think what price they'll be by the time there's any certainty over the fixture. Can't bring myself to take a £280 punt though (me and son). That would be silly......wouldn't it? Lille is way less of a headache. I saw this so I've booked the hotels in Nice as a one day option (flying out on game day) and a two day option flying out the day before as I feel there will be less demand for flights so hopefully flights may be cheaper. 6 of us have last 16 tickets so ive booked 3 rooms in Nice, Paris, Lille & Lens...just need to make sure I cancel the ones I don't need.

Lille is way less of a headache. Ryan Air Brussles/Charleroi to Marseilles is €33 early morning flight 0630 on match day... Or same Charleroi to Montpelier the day before match arrive 8pm for €37 Connect from London or Manchester with equally cheap flights... For anyone that actually has tickets ... then Easy Jet from Bristol to Nice is still only £55...

That's not a bad idea - although at the moment flights are similarly priced for the 1 or 2 day stay options (though - as you say, that will probably change as we get nearer the time). Cheaper still (at the moment) is the Monday to Wedn option (but that's yet another day off work )

The www.ouibus.com from Toulouse to Paris takes 9 hours (with overnight option dept 20.30 arrive 05.30am) and costs around €20 - Can't imagine this changing much ... he says... Otherwise, Easy Jet on 25 June Toulouse to Lille is €46 (11.40am dept) or €31 to Paris (a 06.30am dept) - but a decent throw-away option!

Whether winning the group is achievable is up for discussion I suppose but looking at the plan, coming runner up means that we get 7 days before our next match and we even get an extra day over others in the next round if we won the previous game.

I was thinking the same. Only problem with this plan is that we probably meet France at the Stade de France in the Quarter Final... Bring it on, I say!

If we're playing in Lille (Sunday 6pm k/o) or Lens (Saturday 9pm k/o), how easy is it to get back to Paris after the game? Specifically Charles De Gaulle airport.

Both Lille and Lens trains pull into Paris Nord - which is much more convenient for CDG. If all else fails - I'd imagine a taxi from Lens not being all that expensive

Is it possible to get to CDG from Lille late on a Sunday night/during the early hours of Monday morning?
