Yeah, I saw a documentary on him on S4C. Seems like a decent lad. this is an odd thing to discuss on a footie forum i know but cricket is currently being discussed so i shall just mention how fantastic it is that wales has someone in wwe. wwe is the biggest thing in america he is billed from cardiff wales and he speaks welsh even on the shows live. and in wwe's biggest rival company tna has a welsh guy called rob terry from swansea so finally the americans will know where the fuck we are so well done to those to huge lads the end.

I agree wholeheartedly. Its good that they are not trying to tone down the Welshness and are proud of their heritage. Knowing WWE the safe thing to do would have been to give that guy some British persona making it easier for the Americans to digest rather than having to gig out their atlas to find out where Wales actually is. Fair play to them both.

Yeah, I saw a documentary on him on S4C. Seems like a decent lad. he's done well for himself,he was also goliath on the new gladiators a while back he was home a month or so ago,the schedule the wwe give these wrestlers is insane, easy to see how so many of them snap..maybe they should get dr.ray in to work out new schedules for them

If its Barri Griffiths you're talking about (aka Mason Ryan) he shouldn't be billed as being from Cardiff, he's from Tremadog in Gwynedd.

Just checked him up on wiki, f@#k sake, never seen any one who played for so many clubs, says he is enjoying hmp again. Waste of the talent he may have had

Looks like his son died with 2 others in the crash on the A48.
Too early to know the circumstances obviously but desperately sad loss of young lives.
RIP

RIP
I feel for him, what a life to have had given the way it’s turning out.
Wasn’t he supposed to have been a ridiculously gifted footballer? To the child prodigy degree? And yet he still never made it in the game

RIP It sounds like the police have made a real hash of this, The mother of one of the women said she had been told to stop contacting police for updates. Speaking at the scene, a friend of the three women said she believed the police "could have done a lot more". Tamzin Samuels, 20, said: "They only posted the appeal an hour before the girls were found. We found them before the police found them - we rang the police."

Even then though there were stories of him getting in all sorts of trouble and being done for drink driving or something.

Jim, I am no great fan of the rozzers but I think blaming them at this point is a bit harsh. This is five young people getting into a high powered car after a night at a night club. It should also be added that one of the girls spent three years becoming a TV reality "star" in a programme about how her sister died after getting into a car with a fast driver. I think we should wait for full disclosure, toxicology report on the driver etc before we lay blame.

No, I know, you're right, I just read it and it struck a nerve with me in relation to similar dealings I've had with the police in the past. I don't think they've done their best here by the sounds of it.

Awful news. Feel incredibly sorry for the parents whose other daughter was also killed in a car crash a few years ago.
The car was found in the middle of trees off a slip road apparently, which is just incredible bad luck. No-one could have predicted that.
Not jumping to any conclusions yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were drugs / drink involved. Seemed a very inconspicuous place to crash a car, unless you're absolutely hammering it or possibly under influence.

I remember when he first signed for Barry. He had been sacked by Cardiff for cocaine issues so Barry gave him a chance.
His performance was, well, without exaggeration and I mean this; it was otherworldly.
He had no fear, took on everyone and went past everyone. This is when Barry were a really good team but he didn't belong on that pitch. This was a Premier League level talent with the confidence of a Spurs' Bale.
People in the crowd were literally laughing out loud at what we were witnessing. Unfortunately he didn't last long, as he signed towards the end of the season and I believe he fell off the wagon in pre-season.
When Barry ended up being exiled from Jenner Park, in Division Two of the Welsh league, playing games at Treforrest, he signed again. However he was over twice the size as he was and could barely run. Witnessing this is ranked at number 3 in my worst sporting moments. To see a player of that talent reduced to that was heartbreaking.
In 2018 he played for Barry in a Gary Lloyd testimonial. You know what, he was still decent and best player on the pitch.
It's clear he has been on and off the wagon throughout his life. It's easy to judge people involved in drugs, but few people are willing to look into the reasons why.
I hope this tragedy doesn't push him over the edge to where there's no coming back.
