Lazy Sunday, watching the Footy so I thought I'd start making my list up for stuff I need to take to France and stuff I need to buy when we get to Calais. There are 12 of us going on a 17 seater mini bus the day before the game arriving on the Eurostar early doors and I've rented a 6 bed Converted farmhouse inbetween Bordeaux & Toulouse for the full 2weeks with a total of 19 coming and going over the fortnight. Ill be taking some essentials with us but plan to stop at a Carrefore or similar to stock up with booze and fresh essentials. Does anyone recommend where I should stop to pick up these provisions but not too far off the route from Calais to the South.

Remember to take a hazard warning erectable triangle as well as the shiny yellow vests. Get a few European 2-pin convertors from the pound shop.
Remember to get hold of a Euro-friendly credit card - Halifax Clarity or such-like.
Don't forget your toothbrush ;-)

Citie Europe is at Calais and has a huge Carrefour, in addition there is a 24 hour fuel station there that takes cards and fuel is fairly cheap................. ok its early doors as read the email but fuel stop will be open and way cheaper than motorways. Its signposted from Eurotunnel arrival and be wary of the height restrictors.
Enough vests for all passengers.............tell whomever you renting for and then should provide all that is reqd. Confirm in advance in writing.
Simple rule on driving in France................. driver sober at ALL TIMES, even from night before.Don't give cops an excuse.
Know the height of the van..............if in doubt get out and check whether have headroom.
Oh and Carrefour / U Marche etc 24 hr unmanned petrol stations are generally always cheaper.

Calais to Begerac is a fair spin out, maybe 10 hours possibly a bit more, via Michelin is a good site to use for planning your route. There is a Carrefour in Brive and that's where I would aim to stock up (aside from a few tinnies for the journey from Calais) as it should take to long to get where your staying from there. The motorways will be toll so you will be paying,
If your coming through Rouen be careful as there used to be diversions for high vehicles.
