Hello All,
First time poster - long time lurker.
Firstly many thanks to manulike, corky et al for the invaluable info they have given to this board over the last few months - been a massive help. All tickets for me sorted through the faw with travel and accommodation in Bordeaux/Paris/Toulouse also sorted. Just the last piece of the (first) jigsaw is getting to Bordeaux for the 10th. Left this until last as direct flights looked pricey ( I could still fly in via Barcelona/Azerbaijan if needed) but seeing as im travelling on my own thought it would be great chance to meet others on the way down.
So if you know of a single space on a bus/campervan/car travelling from Wales/Bristol down to Bordeaux then I'm all ears (will obs chip in on the costs etc).
See you in France!

If all else fails, and you decide to fly, then at this late stage, the cheapest option for Match Day itself is FLYBE from Birmingham International to Bordeaux
Depart from BHX at mid-day 12 noon arrive to BOR at 2.45pm local time.
You should be able to make it downtown by 4pm, leave your bags at the hotel and be in the stadium by 5ish (ko is 6pm local time)...
PRICE is £87
Thereafter, look at Ryan Air from BOR to Brussels-Charleroi for about €30. Bus Charleroi Airport to Lille for €5 etc.

I'm another one who owes a lot to the likes of manulike and others for info provided to ascertain tickets and traveling info. Except for trying to get another 2 England tickets for our group, my main mission will be to find manulike and buy him a very nice bottle of wine and hopefully share a glass or two. Very thankfull.
We are driving down from Anglesey to Portsmouth then ferry over and down to Bordeaux. Think there will be 3-4 of us but should be room for a little one in the pickup. Hate seeing people travel alone. Not sure as yet if its the overnight one on the thursday to malo or thursday morning one to cherbourg and go from there. If you dont get a better offer i'm sure we can help you out in someway. Just bear in mind we'll be a gang of interbreads allowed off the island with a passport. hahaha. I'll know better the plan by nxt weekend. Keep in touch. Thanks again manulike
