Does anyone have any overnight travel advice for getting from Toulouse to Bergerac (near Bordeaux) straight after the Russia match on 20th June? I need to get to Bergerac airport for a 7.30 a.m. flight back to Bristol on the Tuesday (21st June). If there is no organised travel available perhaps someone out there would be up for a car hire share?

There do not seem to be any buses and certainly no direct trains. The only option that will bring you HALF WAY is: Train from Toulouse to Bordeaux: Dept 0030 arrive Bordeaux at 0239 = its only €20 if you click on the BELGIUM option (assuming that you have a EURO-friendly credit card?? (eg. Halifax Clarity) - Remember to select Grande Britaine / GREAT BRITAIN from the drop down menu when filling out your ADDRESS ... as it is set to France... be.voyages-sncf.com/en/ |

Was just looking at the Ryan Air web site out of curiosity ...
The only flight I can see Bergerac to Bristol is a 09:25 departure- currently its only €58 ...
First, I'd recommend that you bang your drum about it and post this information on the Toulouse thread - so that you might have a few other people that might want to join you.
Second, there is a BORDEAUX to BERGERAC train Dept BOR at 0605 and arrive to Bergerac at 0730 - €17
Bergerac station to the airport is a mere 4 miles ... if all else fails, you could even walk it in a (brisk) hour ...
Total cost of €37 and three hours to kill at Bordeaux station ...

Yes, Bluetone has a thread on this forum called "Anyone Staying in Bergerac", he and a bunch of Welsh lads are staying in a house in Bergerac and they have a big minibus with space, he was actually offering lifts in the thread. Check it out and drop him a pm.

Yes there was a typo in my last post in that the flight out of Bergerac on Tuesday the 21st is at 9.25 a.m. It might have to be the Bordeaux train option but will contact Bluetone.

From what I have been reading on Bergerac "airport" on TripAdvisor, even if you arrive there at 0845, you will probably still have time to kill.
Still, you might be well advised to arrange a taxi in advance from the train station, as all reports are that you will need to call for one - especially at 0730...
