Hey ozred, Congrats on the Lens ticket - nice bit of work form bluetone ;-) Just heard that they have called a general election for 2 July! By my reckoning, we should be busy beating Italy on penalties in Lille til midnight on 1 July ... Hope that the fine for not voting is not too harsh

Hi fellas
Yes Bluetone is now of legendary status in the oz red household, and he has a melbourne address to add to his timeshare portfolio :-)
As for the election, I will do a poxy proxy as they say
I am flying in from melbourne to zurich Aled, then I'm flying in and out from Basel for the Slovakia and Russia games, with a week in Paris (train from Basel) in between those games for the England game. After that a week in Croatia, four days in Ireland, 10 days in wales, then back to zurich and then back to melbourne ..June 6 to July 13........... Notice I fly back after the final...just in case
Can't wait lads Gonna be amazing

You might want to have a throw-away ticket Dubrovnik (DBV) to Paris! Transavia and Easy Jet both do it for about €30. Ryan Air has Zadar to Paris on 29 June for €18... There will be so many englishmen selling their unwanted 1/4 final tickets ;-)

Boys if I've hot time I'd love to take my wife and daughter up north, I did Uni at Bangor so I know how beautiful it is up there Most likely tho I will spend most my time down mid, south and west wales. Which begs the question, if you were going to show people around Wales, in say 8 days, where would you take them? We are based in Abergavenny? Remember I haven't lived in Wales for almost 20 years now, so I'm sure some new attractions might exist Any ideas?

Must See, about 5 miles out of Cardiff is The National Outdoor Museum in St Fagans: www.museumwales.ac.uk/stfagans/ Highly recommended is the Big Pit National Museum (about 8 miles from Abergavenny): www.museumwales.ac.uk/bigpit/ If you are going North, then a stop-over in Hay on Wye is lovely. Coastal Mid-Wales? Then you must spend at least half a day at the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) in Machynlleth - www.cat.org.uk/index.html

I can endorse manulike's recommendation for the first two. It is a bonus that they are free.
A word of warning check when they are open as there is an industrial dispute on at the moment leading to these being closed at weekends.

Best attractions that have opened since you left are all up north. Europe's biggest zip wire at Bethesda. Underground trampoline shit at llechwedd. Surfing at Dolgellau. You can feed red kites at gigrin farm near Rhayader if you're into that sort of thing. Or how about trying to catch crabs at any Welsh night club, erm I mean pier.
