Hi guys,
Hope everyone is excited that its only 28 days away.
Just a quick update in regards to England tickets.
I have found that there are a few people who are selling tickets. However they are not doing so at face value. I am being offered Wales v England tickets at 4-8 times the face value.
I understand that these are in demand tickets, but if people cannot go i assumed they would be sold at what they were bought for.
I am still looking for these tickets. ANd even though had the heart ache of missing out on tickets I still keep the faith.
Just wanted your thoughts on this and if you know of any England tickets please let me know.
Thanks
J

Its a sellers market. I guess as we get closer to the game, viagogo prices will tumble as people try to offload.

It is a buyers market...However it is an OFFENCE to sell tickets above there face value.
the issue I have is that I thought welsh fans unable to go would sell on face value as they would prefer to see a welsh fan in the seat than a possible english fan.
Suppose it is me being naive

Suppose it is me being naive in an ideal world then yea, but lets be honest, £200-£300 profit is to tempting for a lot of people. Its the same with Rugby. Annoying trying to get tickets for Wales games & seeing them play each of the big nations is on my bucket list. Got Ireland, England & NZ to go! I thought it was only illegal to resell football tickets. I am not aware of any law that makes it an offence to sell any other tickets above face value. Otherwise how can stubhub, viagogo, seatwave, etc. be in business? However as this event is being organised outside of the UK, then I would have thought UK Law would have very little power to do anything anyway. THere are still ways around that. You can legally sell Tottenham tickets on Stubhub if you are a Tottenham season ticket holder for example. As there is an agreement between the club & stubhub Apart from all that - I bet the Welsh fans are in the minority of the amount of tickets being sold at tout prices on ticketing websites.

It is only illegal to sell Football tickets and the law indicates that you need the consent of organiser of match to do so.
Uefa went after Viatouttout and told them they were using their Name and Brand image without their consent and to cease and desist. This happened circa 17th march when resale portal went offline.
Viatouttout now sell via their Swiss site.
Best way to do this is via local MP in making it illegal to sell tickets above FV, claims they can't do it are bogus as LOCOG did it for Olympics in 2012. MPs had a chance to act but didn't likely because they avail of the touting companies.
Only way to tackle this is on an EU wide level and get MC / Visa to play ball as then it becomes impossible to do business if any transaction on tout site gets stopped.

Bit on the beeb tonight about UEFA worrying that there will be lots of mixed Welsh / English fans in the non segregated areas as people have bought random tickets from the resale portal etc.

Stadiums will be selling Low Alcohol Beer.
