Some of my Lille and Stade de France tickets for R16/QF are VERY high up in the corner flag area.
Was thinking to buy a light-weight set of binoculars.
Will they be allowed in? Can you recommend a pair that is both smaller and lighter (as to not be deemed a "missile" within the UEFA unacceptable list) but still effective enough? What spec do I look for? What is the difference between 8x21 and 10x50 etc?
Plenty of forum threads saying that they were allowed in South Africa and Ukraine/Poland ... But with new increased security ...

I shall just aim it toward Cardiff Castle and try and find out what happened to that funny egg that was there last Autumn ;-) Otherwise, I shall try to find some bluebirds - I hear they are almost extinct now ...

Happy to report back, as collected binoculars ;-)
Very compact, just a little longer than an average pack of cigs - feels very light, but more like 350gr than the stated 150gr!
Very decent pair - I do recommend them - looking forward to viewing our penalty shoot-out v France in Paris through them!
Also, I managed to spot a bluebird yesterday - a very friendly one, that was also very well trained in delivering football tickets (Stockholm game) - thanks bluetone!

I think they're only allowed in if you have prawn sandwiches with them as well

The prawn sandwich man on this forum is our bluetone - row 1, right behind CC...
