Its the week we have all been waiting for and excitement is at fever pitch and we are certain the Welsh fans will enjoy the tournament no matter what, we waited long enough... However some last minute thoughts from FSF Cymru fan Embassy team before we leave.
If you are are travelling by car/van on please make sure you fill up at the ports in the UK with fuel and every chance you get during the journey to Bordeaux top up, it is getting easier this week but a strike could happen any day over there. If you are travelling by public transport please double check your bookings before leaving in case of cancellations or alterations.
Try to keep photo ID on you preferably passport ( or photocopy)but at least driving license. If no ID under French rules due to terrorist threat since Paris lat year no ID is reason to detain. You in certain circumstances.
There are fake tickets in circulation which will lead to even more vigorous checking at the stadiums, there is talk of photo ID checks on all ticket holders, we are checking this out but its not feasible really due to people getting more than one ticket on their name, but expect checks on your tickets like they do for forged bank notes in the UK. Please give yourselves plenty of time to enter stadiums due to extra security and two perimeters to negotiate and expect random searches in cities, TRAVEL LIGHT
This last one won't go down to well but it would be wise if your group could do a "Sober man" That's where someone keeps reasonably sober to watch out for anything suspicious. You could take it in turns on different days. Sorry to be so serious with this message but lets be safe and have a great time, look out for each other and hopefully stay in the tournament as long as possible

You in certain circumstances. I am hoping that this provision does not apply to children. Any ideas if they are exempt (provided that they are with a parent or guardian)? I concur with Prestatyn.

take a photo of all your documents, booking, tickets etc. with your phone. If you lose them, then you at least have digital copies in your pocket. You could also upload these to icloud or facebook or dropbox, etc. incase you lose your phone as well!
