Is Brian Flynn a name worth considering? Experienced. Wrexham ties. Also has worked extensively as a scout which could prove valuable for them in finding out of contract players... #MeToo Would love to see him back - alongside Tosh #WrexhamDreamTeam

Sam Ricketts will be announced this week, possibly by Weds. Is he crocked as a player now? It will be interesting to have another Welsh manager chucked on the pile. Would be great if he is successful and stays there a while. Feel Wrexham need stability and someone to hold the fort for a couple of seasons with and invested long term interest. Too much usury at the level they are at. The club deserves much better.

Would be good to have Ricketts. Please whoever it is bring more of a Welsh feel to the club. I’ll accept failure a little better if it’s not from 25 journeymen.

It would great to see a Welshman at the helm once again, and hopefully a larger Welsh contingent on the pitch aswell. There are a number WPL Welsh players worthy of a shot at furthering their careers.

Ok you might say it's untapped for a reason, but for non-league requirements, surely it's well worth looking into. Players will come at little to no cost too.

Can only think of one WPL player who cut it. Lee Trundle.

Can only think of one WPL player who cut it. Lee Trundle. Tom Bradshaw (Aberystwyth Town) Christian Doidge (Carmarthen Town) Mark Delaney (Carmarthen Town) Owain Tudur Jones (Bangor City) are four that have moved on to English league clubs. There must be a few more.

Steve Evans signed for Wrexham from TNS in 2006 and in his 3 years at the Racecourse got 7 caps for Wales. In september 2008 with Wrexham relegated to the conference became the first non league player to represent Wales for 76 years when he came on as sub against Russia in Moscow.Although Gary Lloyd was an unused sub in Brussels in Belgium in 1997 as a Barry Town player.

Maybe not only Welsh Leagues but how many Welsh youth players are about to be released? Tell them we want to bring a strong Welsh identity to the club and they might be able to break into the Wales U21 squad. Why would the national team care about Wrexham? Because nearly all the players will be eligible for Wales, it’ll make sense to keep a lot of eyes on Wrexham to track the progress of the youngsters.
There will still be room for others, the likes of Pearson and Smith, hopefully Coddington will finally come and stay for good too. Build a team of Welsh players and only look elsewhere for players who’ll get the best out of them. Bring in players in the mould of Little, Keates, Creighton who earn respect from players for their dedication and commitment.
I’ll be harsh if there’s not a Wales youth keeper better than Dunn or a midfielder/attacker better than Franks we might as well just make a Team GB now.

Christian Dibble is no.2 at Wrexham still right? Taking your point on board, maybe Wrexham should offer a trial to Billy O'Brien? He is still without a club. I thought he looked really good and was our u21 keeper ahead of Crowe, as well as for Man City's DVP team.

To be fair he did well covering for Dunn until he got injured himself, then lost his place. Surely Darlington has Osian’s ear when he needs advice, could he ask for feedback on these young lads?

Just to be clear, I was on about Wrexham only with regards WPL players who had cut it. Quigley yes, but his short stint doesn’t really prove anything. Steve Evans? God no.

Just thought of another example, remember Eifion Williams, Caernarfon Town/Barry Town, moved to Torquay then Wrexham. Injury shortened his career.

Connor Murtagh was a classy Irish CM that went from Rhyl to Wrexham, not sure how he did?

Jake Cassidy & Dion Donohue. Carl Dale who moved from Bangor City to Chester & then on to Cardiff City.
It does suprise me that Wrexham are not picking up some of these players from the Welsh leagues like they did with Lee Trundle especially as Rhys Healey, Jake Cassidy & Scott Quigley were playing for clubs so near to Wrexham, they could have earned some much needed funds selling on & they would have done no worse than some of the dire journeymen they have signed.
I don't know if Sam Ricketts has managerial experience but he was a truly dedicated servant for Wales,so if he is appointed lets hope he is successful.

Jake Cassidy was close to signing for Wrexham but Wolves came in for him at the last minute. Murtagh? Erm no. Was soon found wanting. Not good enough.
