At some point Wrexham will outgrow Parkinson and his limited football philosophy. I suspect that will happen once they get promoted to the Championship, but it might happen sooner.

At some point Wrexham will outgrow Parkinson and his limited football philosophy. I suspect that will happen once they get promoted to the Championship, but it might happen sooner. That's precisely what I thought might be evident to the Wrexham owners last night. Felt like they were playing a team from a higher division and as they progress they'll see more of that. Parkinson has plenty of credit in the bank obviously but that won't last forever.

Birmingham have the highest possession stats in league one, Wrexham the lowest. This will become more noticeable as the team progresses.

Yeah it's hard because if he takes Wrexham from National League to Championship that's an unprecedented achievement and that definitely buys him a lot of time
However, it's clear that under this current style Wrexham would struggle in the Championship. Completely understandable given the meteoric rise, but how long would that be tolerated? I'd expect Parkinson to be given a season to try and keep them in the Championship, but I think it would be a right scrap (if they get there). If they do that then maybe it would feel right to part ways at that point
I think the change to a new style will come with a whole host of problems because the profile of player in the squad will need to change quite a bit. The next managerial appointment would be huge

Parky isn't going anywhere. He'll continue to prove doubters wrong.
We were beaten by a £40m side on Monday, our record signing cost £375k. We can play much better than that too and are still waiting for our talisman to be fully fit.

One things for certain, if Page had sat on his hands when it was absolutely blatant that Wales were heading for defeat and a player was on the bench who would relieve that pressure we wouldn’t hear the end of it on here. No reason why Parkinson shouldn’t be held to the same standard

No reason why Parkinson shouldn’t be held to the same standard I think he should've come on at 2-1 but I'm not going to dig into the manager because he brought him on 11 minutes later. I would call that nitpicking. Worth noting we're still watching his fitness too. Hopefully this post isn't suggesting Parkinson doesn't know how to change a game for the better. We've come back from being several goals down to win a game on a fair few occasions under him, more than your average club.

Bounced back well at the weekend and in those leagues it's usually not the defeats that cost you, it's how you react to each one. I think they've started the season very well and hopefully the club get paid more respect for what they're doing because the notion that they're throwing money around like confetti is way off the mark, they've made the most of their pulling power like anyone in their shoes would.

Wrexham beat Northampton 4-1 past weekend and saw Tyler roberts start for the visitors. He was noticeably their best player and could have scored one or two but our keeper made a few good saves. However based on his performance I wouldn’t think we’ll see him play for wales again.

3 Welshmen today in the cup for the Wrecsam
EDIT Tom King is having a shocker in goal. Very poor decision making. Just been chipped for the 2nd goal by Mullin. Harry Ashfield looks like a very tidy player in midfield with a nice range of passes. Fin Ashworth (Wolves) also looks very promising.

Yes, I have no idea why he felt the need to come off his line for that when there was a defender closing down the angle for Mullin. If he gets another call up, we truly are desperate

Like the look of Harry Ashfield. Impressive competitive debut where he’s been busy and showed a good range of passing and technical ability. Impressed on the preseason tour too. Hopefully he’ll get some opportunities in the league this season
