I feel sure we can now look forward to years and years of posts on here about early capping in case he defects to England or Turkey.

He needs at least one career threatening injury before he can be afforded true 'promising Welsh youngster' status.

call him up for dublin quick If he has played more than 3 games at under 23 level then he should definitely be in the squad for Dublin.

This lad looks to be another good example of the Welsh Set up capturing these kids early. United spotted him when he scored 4 playing against them for a North Wales under 14 side. Looking at the long list of Quay players alone to have moved to professional clubs then it also highlights the importance of the WPL academy system

Some great work being done by the acadamies, it's a shame that these lads can just be picked off by English league teams, hopefully they will benefit in some way financially.
Shame their first team play such hoofball though

Apparently Gundogan transferred for a paltry fee of £1100 but I am sure there are various add ons to add potential to that deal and see future funds drip back to the Quay. The Quay alone have produced nearly 30 kids that have gone into professional youth set ups, I assume other WPL clubs are producing also, if not at the same rate, but it bodes really well for us that large pools of young Welsh players are at professional clubs. It will be interesting to see if we notice an improvement in age grade results over the next 5 to 10 years

What happened to this boy, signed by Man U from Nomads at 14, was going to be big, looks like he has no club now, did he give up on footie, get a bad injury?

Yes looks to be back with Cei Connah, here’s him scoring a penalty from January 2020
On their website it also says he played 9 games for their U19s last year, scoring 4 goals. He was also getting selected for our youth squads last year from what I can see - so he’s still involved in the setup. Guess he’ll just have to see if he can break through into the senior and get time in the Cymru Premier at a young age - I’m sure from there he could still get a good move

Saw on Twitter that he's joined Denbigh Town in the Cymru North
I don't think we'll be getting an exotic sounding front three of Gundogan, Popov and Koumas any time soon
