Who out there used the old dragonsoccer message board? Those I know: Me (obviously!) Ds (obviously - it was his board) Ontheroadagain (under a different name) Scoop76 (I think I remember posting on ccmb and helping you find this board) Who else out there?  On it from 2001 to the end. Hours spent reading the topics - Darcy Blake comes to mind. |

This board has gone downhill since the Euros imo, a lot of good contributors have stopped posting on here for one reason or another. Maybe it's because all we ever wanted was to see Wales qualify for a major tournament, and we got so much more than that in France. There's not as much to discuss now I guess, and we need new dreams to chase. I still prefer this forum to Twitter. Twitter and our qualification for Euro 2016 and then reaching the Semi´s kind of curtailed Apostle. Reaching a major tournament was a life ambition for most. |

This board has gone downhill since the Euros imo, a lot of good contributors have stopped posting on here for one reason or another. Maybe it's because all we ever wanted was to see Wales qualify for a major tournament, and we got so much more than that in France. There's not as much to discuss now I guess, and we need new dreams to chase. I still prefer this forum to Twitter. Twitter and our qualification for Euro 2016 and then reaching the Semi´s kind of curtailed Apostle. Reaching a major tournament was a life ambition for most. Aye, shame not to see posts from as many on here now but everything changes! Can't bloody wait to watch us at a world cup (from my sofa) 😄 Bale, Rambo, Hennessey etc thank you!! It’s funny isn’t I don’t know any faces and I come here as it’s my only place to talk about welsh football and people just drop off the radar. All you see is a screen name and you wonder if everything’s alright. Hope everyone is well and loving the fact we have a WC to go to |

If I remember rightly Neil closed it down circa 2003 as it got unmanageable with loads of new members joining when it looked like we might qualify for Euro 2004. I wonder for how many this gave a taste for Welsh international football and stuck with the team ever since.
For those that remember the old DS board, any also a member of the "WalesAway" Yahoo group?
Part chat about Welsh football, part chat about getting sleeper trains from Trieste.....

I do have some frustrations like the negativity after a win (I usually don’t come on here when we’ve won a so don’t want to have a downer on it) and the constant argument when a squad gets announced on who the fourth choice keeper or the seventh choice midfielder should have been (and whoever gets left out is painted as a victim of being ‘frozen out’ or the manager a grudge against them as opposed to simply not being selected) Saying that , I’d miss coming on here if it ever stopped. |

I can’t remember when I joined, probably around the time of Euro 2004, I recall alarch leading a staunch defence of why we should have been awarded a pass to the finals at the expense of Russia shortly before CAS told us to fuck off.
