I wish Mitchell all the best because he desperately wants a chance to play for Wales U21s and with the shocking results they’ve had recently, it’s amazing Page and co stick with the same lads.

Bit bored atm, so decided to scour through the forum and the summer signings. Is he going to get close to Leicesters first team this season? Or does anyone know how he's been getting along?

Mitchell Clark has joined Port Vale on loan for the rest of the season moving from Leicester.

Seen most of the U23 match v Man United. LC won 0-2 away. Mitch showed a lot of class, with a couple of driving runs forward. One great shot in first half went wide, but after a wonderfully energetic run in the 85th minute, he scored a belter from 30m.
One thing about Mitch, which I also remember from his Villa days, is his lack of discipline. Almost gave a pen away a few minutes before he scored, then almost got sent off for a forceful shove of a United player ... and then came the moment of sheer magic ;-)
I'd like to think that if he tames his temper, we have a great LB prospect.
Will Russ came on for the last 7-8 minutes. Didn't really get a chance, but for a 17 year-old, he is certainly a tall lad.

21 now so probably isn't best served by playing U23s. Probably needs another loan. Can't say I expect him to become a Leicester regular with Justin recently taking that role. Probs will need to move permanently in the future for regular senior football, although I'd be happy to be proven wrong

Noticed he scored a nice goal for Port Vale (on loan) over the weekend but hasn't represented Wales after under 19.
Did we give up on him or vice versa?

Certainly a strange one that he still isn't being included despite now playing senior football. Seems his selection (or lack thereof) has been an issue before based on the quoted post. Perhaps there's been previous issues or something behind the scenes we don't know about. Certainly question marks around this if he's not selected for the next U21 squad - Coxe by comparison is playing the division below him with far less 1st team football already under his belt

He did turn down the chance to play for Wales u20’s in a world competition a few years back. It was the tournament Brooks won the best player award but playing for England. Mitch Clark played in a competition in Asia with Villa youth instead. Not sure if that has any bearing on his non selection. Just guessing, but maybe that put Page off him!

He’s 21 so he must be eligible It’s certainly possible - we have to consider that a big part of the FAW identity programme is selecting players with good character. Hence why we have such good squad cohesion & we seem not to have any bad eggs - unlike our neighbours over the border. If that means occasionally someone who has clear ability but doesn’t have the right attitude doesn’t get selected then it’s the right thing for the process. Not saying that’s the case here - I know little to nothing about the lad and I won’t doubt him until I hear otherwise - but it does just make you think something must be not quite right for someone doing that well to be consistently not getting a call up. If he moves up a few levels you’d think he’d be considered for our senior squad - so it’ll be interesting to see how this one plays out

Loan spell ended at Port Vale a few weeks back. Fans seem to love him there.
Also looks like he's picked up an injury according to his twitter. He's had a torrid time with injuries over the past few years

Stoke are in talks to sign him on loan until the end of the season with a view to buy him as part of a double deal for him and Danny Ward. They were disappointed to hear that George Thomas had already been sold as they wanted to make it a Welsh triple swoop.

90 mins opening day of the season at right-back, and got himself an assist. Seems to have established himself at League 1 level with Accrington.

Might have a decent chance at making a future squad with a few injuries - that is if there wasn't any falling out with the FAW as rumoured (if I remember correctly?)

There were questions about his attitude when he was being discussed as a potential call up on here. Can't remember where they came from but this doesn't help with those rumours Of course betting doesn't make you have a bad attitude, but it's not a good look to have a 6 month ban to your name potentially, especially after being relegated to League Two this season. Can't see him ever featuring for our seniors now

He'd be better off saving his money and training as an electrician or something.

Seems to have established himself as a League 1 right back at 24, still potential to push on to the Championship though I'd be surprised if he did
