Noticed there’s no dedicated thread for the Dublin trip. Use this for all your travel plans, meet up places (hopefully nowhere near Temple Bar) and match chat.
Know a few people flying in and out or going it alone just to see the game. So post about plans for match day too!
suprised by the lack of people heading out by the sounds of it given grumbles about not having enough points for smaller allocations. Plus these games have some bearing on qualification for the Euros and our seeded draw so very important in my eyes.

Flying from London City the day before and coming back the day after. British Airways there and back. No major plans aside from having a good drink up.
I've known so many plastic Irish people over the years. Notably in Manchester. I guarantee the Dublin locals will be completely different than that wanker in a Celtic shirt and flat cap.

Any ideas yet when our allocation will be announced along with the qualifying criteria for actually getting a ticket ?

Less than £100. I live just off Barking Road so I get the 474 bus to City. Convenient.

Never stayed there, but had a half in there with fireboy0610 and watched the Serbia match in there before our game. Decent pub and a good sing-song with the Irish lads...
... Or was it Slattery's where we were? All these Irish bars look the same ;-)
Anyway, if anyone wants to do any drinking before the match, the Irish are very precious about us boys entering from the BATH AVENUE ENTRANCE, so do your drinking in the Northern / North-Western area of the stadium.
Its only about 3Km walk from the Liffey River, but if taking a bus or the DART, use the GRAND CANAL DOCK STATION and not the Lansdowne Road one.

Not going to book flights until our allocation is confirmed and hoping I get a ticket! We have booked for Denmark , Ireland and Albania but for next year's away games that will be our policy of having to wait for tickets before booking anything . We were very lucky to get " home " tickets in Aarhus , Aviva should be no problem but Albania is going to be another sweat .

And if you don't want to "risk" it, just get yourself a 1000 lek online ticket early doors

Early indications are we are going to get 3,000 for Dublin which should mean everyone getting in OK . Maybe on sale Monday for stage 1 ?

Yes, we might take 2000, but can't see us taking 3000.
Even today, you can still get a Ryan Air out from Bristol night before match and back the morning after for £25 RETURN ...
(if you want to save on accommodation, just add £30 to that and fly out at 8am match day)

I'm going down the Airbnb route accommodation wise. Someone else's home can make it awkward but if you're only sleeping in the place then it's fine. Berlin and Aarhus for Denmark away were half the price of hotels.
My Dublin hotel is £220 for two nights. October will be a quiet one unless I get something cheaper.

just cancelled my hotel in dublin and rebooked as it was £100 cheaper this week than when we originally booked it when the draw was made, maybe not the interest there this time round and they are hoping to get a few more to go ??

Ferry from Holyhead at 8am-ish on the morning of the game and back at 3pm the day after. I know a few fellow Ynys Mon based fans who are coming back on the 2am ferry and not bothering with hotels at all.
