Hopefully we get Denmark's play-off spot if we don't qualify from our group.

I Think it's the most important game of this qualifying competition. Get off to a flying start with a win and we're on the front foot, with Slovakia under pressure already scrambling for points. Lose, and I think we'll have a mountain to climb to qualify. 5 team group makes it much harder imo. 2 less games to gain points from, and those 2 games are usually the ones we'll pick up 6 points against. A win against the Slovaks is vital. On the flip side our rivals would also get 6 points against them, so i dont think it really matters - other than from a confidence point of view. Totally agree though, we must win against Slovakia, the pressure is on from the get go.

We smashed China and Ireland, not suggesting Ireland are minnows but we were lightyears ahead of that squad they put out in Cardiff. I think under Giggs we’d be more ruthless against an Andorra or San Marino and would fair much better against them than other teams might. They could potentially get a draw against other teams, I have full faith in Giggs to run riot over the minnows, it’s the others I’m concerned about.

Midfield is a slight concern but hopefully Ampadu or Smith can do a tidy job. I have a sneaky feeling we could see James Lawrence tested as a CDM against T&T.

I've been keeping an eye on him for last three games, and although I'd still play a half-fit Ash/Chester/Gunts/Taylor ahead of him in defence, he does bring something to the table.
In action today at 5pm - will try to post a live stream when available

1-0 Wales, Bale picking up where he left off from the last Euro campaign and scoring the only goal.

If they play like they did in Albania 0-1, otherwise 1-0.

3-0 Wales. Slovakia are an ageing team, much worse than the one we played in the Euro's. We have enough to keep Hamsik under control and way too much pace for them to cope with. Bale will be gagging to prove his RM doubters wrong (again). This should be another Russia or Ireland game.

If they play like they did in Albania 0-1, otherwise 1-0. that was a friendly, where new lads had more game time. the real football starts with Slovakia and where the knives will be sharppend if we dont win

Bale will be gagging to prove his RM doubters wrong (again). This should be another Russia or Ireland game. After looking into their squad I'm actually feeling a bit more confident. I had no idea Hamsik had gone to China, so hopefully he will lose his sharpness over the course of the campaign. Aside from Skriniar their defence looks weak with the retirement of Skrtel. And upfront they are even shorter than we are. Their strength is their midfield with Hamsik, Kucka, Mak and Stoch having all played at the top level with 50+ caps. Lobotka and Duda are playing in top European leagues too. This could give them control for periods against us, but I think their weaknesses at the business ends of the pitch does give us the edge. 2-0 to us. Brooks and Bale with the goals.

Just looked at the seating map for the first time in a while... half the upper deck corners sections are on sale now, other than that mostly the more expensive tickets left.
It will be very close to a home sellout but perhaps not quite by at most 1500.
