He never ever hits the ground running after am injury. Give him a month to get sharp and he'll be back to his best. Until the next injury of course.

'La Liga has asked the Spanish Football Federation to sanction Gareth Bale for a "provocative gesture" as he celebrated scoring in Real Madrid's 3-1 win against Atletico Madrid.
The Welshman made an arm gesture after scoring his side's third goal and his 100th for the club in the 74th minute.
Bale raised his bent arm and hit it with his other hand, a gesture that is considered offensive in Spain.
He could face a ban if deemed to have intentionally incited opposition fans.
La Liga has expressed a desire to cut out "offensive goal celebrations" and it will be the task of the RFEF Competition Committee to decide whether or not to impose punishment.
A gesture made with intent that incites fans could be met with a ban of between four and 12 games, with a ban of up to three games applying for a gesture that is made with intent, but does not cause a hostile reaction'.

Hopefully they ban him for 12 la Liga games making him fit and angry for us.

I think this is it for Bale now. I'm getting the distinct feeling that people are beginning to switch off from him and that he's slowly being shoved out. If even half of the things coming out of their camp regarding the social aspects of Bale's life are true, it can't be doing his head any good being in that type of environment for this length of time.
Time to leave, not necessarily come back to the UK, but leave Spain at the very least.

Not going to bed at 1am seems perfectly reasonable to me
All this is of course coming from consummate professional and stand up guy Thibaut Courtois who refused to train at Chelsea to force through a move as well as sleeping with De Bruyne's girlfriend

There seems to be a drip, drip of negatives again coming out about our Gareth from Spain, as it was prior to the Champions League final. His wonder goal put a stop for a while but it's starting again. Agree, the summer might be time call it quits and move on.

Flavour of the month Vinicius is loved, yet Bale, who is their 2nd top scorer this season and has the best goal to game ratio of anyone in the club this season (despite being a winger), is being criticised again. I do feel for him.

Courtois has only been in the squad 5 minutes! I can empathise with the comments about the language to a certain degree, but the comments about him wanting an early night are so trivial. So what?! Apparently, Bale faces a potential investigation into the celebration he did after the goal he scored against Atletico Madrid and could face a twelve-match ban: www.sportsnet.ca/soccer/real-madrids-gareth-bale-faces-possible-12-match-ban/sn-amp/

The source is Courtois though. He might be exaggerating the situation.
Even so, Real is a toxic club on the decline. Their defence concede goals like there is no tomorrow, yet the so-called "fans" blame Bale? Incredulous. He's achieved as much as he's likely to over there and he's under-appreciated, yet reports indicate that he wants to stay 🙄

Shame Ronaldo is at Juve as that would of been a good move.
His decision not to learn the language etc makes me think he will be back playing in England next season as I cant see him staying at Madrid.

His decision not to learn the language etc makes me think he will be back playing in England next season as I cant see him staying at Madrid. Depends how much he likes the money. He'd have to take a mighty paycut to move back here. I can't see United forking out the wages he's on now as they'll want to move away from that I'd imagine and no one else would pay that much. The worst thing he could do is stay there as his chances will keep getting limited, and it won't do him any good being around those players, those fans and the Spanish media.
