Go to Cardiff if you want some love, he's sold himself out for the money Obviously he's not going to go to Cardiff haha. A lot of people in this thread are saying he could still be playing in the Prem/Serie A/Bundesliga. Do you all honestly think that there was an offer on the table from a Bayern/PSG and that he turned it down to go to China??? It sounds to me as though the European links were pure speculation and that China was the only offer to get out of Madrid. I don't believe for a second he actually had the offer to go elsewhere in Europe. Therefore it was China or a season on the bench at Madrid. That's not my point, the point is that anyone who thinks he's doing it for anything other than money are deluding themselves

On the plus side they don't have to do much for the money 30 games a season. They're not in the Asian Cup this year and they look very unlikely to be in there next year. The season finishes in November and they have 10 games left, with 30 games next season taking him to March 2021. Real Madrid will probably play that before Christmas this year ! Travel could be an arse ache but I'd imagine he'll jump at every opportunity to get home.

I'm a lot more chilled about this move then many seem to be. Yes, it would be preferable it he was still playing in Europe, not least because of the jet lag associated with joining up with the Welsh camp. But the main consideration for us is that Bale is fit and playing regularly - and just plain happy. His ability will go a long way towards taking care of the rest. A fit, contented Bale will be a huge asset to us regardless of who or where he's playing - which would be a big step up from the situation he's got himself into at Real Madrid.
One things for sure - in China, Bale will be the Galactico - and it's a given that his team-mates will pass to him. It says everything about Real Madrid as a club that that hasn't been the case during Bale's time there.

This seem to get the best part of a month without fixtures for the international breaks. The days of him bombing down the wing at a hundred mile an hour are gone. He needs to evolve into a centre forward and this may be he best place to do it.

They are a joke club. All this drama for potentially nothing. Whatever happens, I think it's quite clear that the new "galacticos" will have little effect, and they will likely continue with their decline.

Madrid is the sort of club to make a knee-jerk response to a thrashing by their neighbours in a friendly - perhaps by sacking Zidane. Alternatively, with Asensio out long-term perhaps they see the need to hang on to Bale after all.

Worryingly, I understand this was the board's intervention rather than zidane's, so bale may still be on the bench (if that even) for the foreseeable future. We may all be wishing the China move had gone through in a couple months time!

Incredible turn of events. Don't know where that leaves our Gareth mind? Photos of him laughing on the bench when they were being hammered by Athletico won't help re-build his rapport with Real Madrid's idiotic support. Let's hope as has been mentioned ZZ's for the chop pronto!!

Money is clear a big factor but I'm sure it's not the only reason he was ready to go to China.

Let's make this absolute fiasco complete shall we......"Real Madrid appoints Jonathon Barnett as it's President....".
They suit each other for sure.
There are no winners out of this - RM, ZZ, JB, JS (Jiangsu Suning) and least of all, GB. He probably had enough RM supporters still on his side before this to play a fourball with... not now.....not after this, he doesn't... shambles of a club, shambles of a manager, shambles of an agent.
Gar boy...get yourself a new one of each of the above...sharpish....because at this rate, no other football club is going to touch you with a shitty stick son.

Who are they going to replace Zidane with? There are only 2 possible contenders: Pochettino (won't join a basket case) and Mourinho (is he highly regarded there?).
It seems straight forward to me that Zidane won't be sacked after a friendly defeat (especially after they bent over backwards to get him to come back) and will be given the season. And Perez has stepped in and vetoed the transfer because he thinks Bale might be needed due to injuries and an unconvincing friendly defeat to Atletico.
The question now is not whether Zidane is fired but rather whether he quits due to interference. Let's not forget his reason for leaving before was due to a lack of control over team affairs. Will Perez (said to be a fan of Bale) be pressurising Zidane to play him? Zidane is going to feel like a mug in front of the press now after talking a load of crap about Bale and now having to work with him for the rest of the season.

Without Asensio, Madrid's only options at RW are Lucas Vazquez (never seemed like a top player) and Brahim Diaz (unproven youngster). They could also move Vinicius Junior out of position to play on the right, but they are looking thin on the ground in this area.

Bale not included in the latest pre-season squad. What a mess. He withdrew himself. He is still being paid 600,000 a week to play football when needed by Real Madrid and now he's gone off in a sulk. I honestly wonder what still motivates him? He had a good opportunity to step up and show Real that he still has a part to play at the club and he has rejected it. Poor form from Bale that.

It's being reported that he's withdrawn as he's not in the right mental state to play, after Real withdrew his move to China at the last minute. By all accounts Perez stopped the move, doesn't mean he's in favour with Zidane.

They're really messing him around. No wonder he isn't in the right mental state. I think Real have reached an impasse and this has the potential to affect their whole season.
Surely, either he or Zidane will have to go.
If it's another woeful performance on Tuesday, it might be curtains for Zidane.
