I think that goal he scored was absolutely superb against Fulham. Its a pity that the goal does not get the recognition it deserves off the pundits and the media its a bloody disgrace. If hazard or any of them other lot had scored that goal we would not have heard the last of it? This is what Rambo's reply to those pundits ;-)

If hazard or any of them other lot had scored that goal we would not have heard the last of it? I often wonder if we're a bit paranoid or precious about our players, but then when you listen to punditry on MOTD that pretty much ignores Ramsey's massive contribution to what in all probability will be goal of the season (or at least would be if Kane had scored it), then I think perhaps not. Not only did he finish the move off with that sublime flick, he started the move and contributed with a header in the middle section of the move. Then, later on in MOTD, after Barkley has his first decent game in months, they wax lyrical about him. I feel embarrassed for them to be honest. They really haven't a clue do they. I will love it if Ramsey gets a move to Barcelona or Real Madrid. Imagine having two Welshmen and no Englishmen playing for the two biggest clubs in the world.

If that's true he should push to sign for them in January and start racking up the winners medals. Why wait?

True. Obviously they are subject to successful medicals etc. but barring that, are pre-contracts binding?? If so, he'd be best to sign on that dotted line pronto come January.

I'm sure they are!
I had my first child a month ago - life is mental!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He now has twins, so it's probably best he's at home rather than in Ireland.

Congrats, first months are always a whirlwind. With two girls, 4 and 2, life is crazy enough as it is! So can't imagine the stresses of having twins as well as another young child. I think my mrs would have hit the roof if I said I was going back to work 2 days after giving birth, so don't blame Ramsey for staying home.

With respect, the guy is a multi-millionaire who lives in a mansion- pretty sure he could afford some hired help to allow him to play...but I don't blame him for missing an international match. And let's be fair, if you take his Wales career as a whole into account it is 50/50 whether he would play to his potential anyway. Nowhere anywhere near as big as a miss as Allen or Bale imo.

However would be interesting if this were to be an Arsenal away match. I'm sure I read something yesterday where Giggs mentioned 'they knew' at the Spain match Aaron won't be available to face Ireland, so the birth was probably planned for the weekend. Makes sense seeing as he played the entire match, while players like Allen were rested. The latter comment is debatable!

Any news on health of mother and kids? No tweets or instagrams from the Ramseys makes me a little worried :+( It's a little worrying, considering how on the ball modern footballers/celebrities are on social media. A part of me thought he'd fly out after the birth providing everything went smoothly, but I don't blame him for staying home anyway. Hoping for news soon.

Allen does a much simpler job granted, but he is rarely off his game in what he does for Wales. Take the Ireland home game for instance, honestly - we would have had more chance of winning that game if it was Ramsey McClean and Meyler clattered than Allen.
