Way to go Rambo! Seems to be in the goals quite a bit recently. It's getting warmer, so he thaws out in Spring. June has traditionally been a very good month for our Rambo. I am optimistic (as long as that Emery doesn't flog him to death...)

Another man of the match performance yesterday against the second best team in Italy. That's probably his fifth or sixth motm performance against top sides this season which will hopefully put to bed the ridiculous suggestions that he can't do it against the top sides. He and James are by far our most in-form players, while Bale, Brooks and Wilson are struggling for form. The good thing about having so many good attacking options is that we're always likely to have one or two in peak-form when an international comes around.
Interestingly, Ramsey's brilliant form over the last 2-3 months has coincided with him playing in a deeper midfield role. I think Arsenal are good enough to have him as one of the two deep midfielders, but I don't think him sitting alongside allen would offer enough protection for us. However, he definitely plays better in that deeper position - an '8' as Allegri described it. So it's clear to me that we need to play a midfield 3 of Ramsey, Allen and Smith (for now, probably Ampadu in future) sitting behind them. Wilson's been off form lately (with the exception of the game before last), so if we were to play tomorrow the midfield and attack would pick itself:
------Smith------ --Rambo---Allen-- Brooks-Bale-James

I actually think Rambo will be our most important player over the next two campaigns, potentially more important than Bale. He appears to be improving, which will continue playing under Allegri at Juventus, and having a creative midfielder in his mould will bring more out of Bale/Brooks/James etc. Against Slovakia we looked good going forward, but I never believed we would get 3/4 goals. With Rambo in the starting XI I think we would have won that game by a lot more. Having him in there will make it so much more difficult for teams to cope with our pace.

He's going to be a superstar in Italy. Is genuinely excellent in so many different attributes, and always seems to score in big games.

He's going to be a superstar in Italy. Is g enuinely excellent in so many different attributes, and always seems to score in big games. Spot on, that's what makes him stand-out, he's an all-rounder. The ground he covers is off the scale. In some recent games he's topped the board for tackles/interceptions, in others for passes/chances created, and then hes chipped in goals and assists too - in some games he's been top on each measure. That's why I think he offers much more when playing deeper than as a 10.

Rambo subbed after 30' Hamstring pull?
I AM NOT HAPPY #WENGER.BACK How long does a hamstring injury typically take to recover from? Really depends. A minor strain can be as little as 2 to 3 weeks. A major soft tissue pulled hammi as long as 6 to 8 weeks.
The fact that he insisted on walking off is encouraging. Best case scenario is back for Burnley last match of season on 12 May. Far too early if he is rushed for EL semi on 2 May.
Sadly, from a Arsenal fan's perspective, the worst possible scenario for Rambo is us making it to the Europa league final. That Emery will play him even if he was in a plaster cast ;=(((
On the bright side, our Matthew has just had 11 days without a match due to suspension and the match tomorrow being cancelled.
As long as Allen stays fit, we can just about hang in there

6 weeks off before the double-header, free of Arsenal's futile end of season, yes please. If losing in the semis means a fit again Rambo for Croatia - then A BIG FAT YES, from me too. There will always be the CL finals in a couple of years when Robbie Burton is captain ;-)

How did these HYPOCRITES travel into London no doubt by car or public transport. These demonstrators are no doubt Amazon customers who would rather buy on the computer online and get it delivered than get off their privelaged arses and walk down to the shops. I did not vote and Croydon did not vote for brexit but you lost so get over it or do you not believe in democracy or only when it suits your agenda.

As this is an Aaron Ramsay thread, its worth pointing out that Rambo is a massive supporter of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and their policies on conservation enviromental projects and endangered species and probably supports the aims of these protesters in London and all over the world as do I and probably quite a few on here.

Posted about this few months ago yet his boss Stan Kroenke is quite the opposite ! Personally I think this is the reason he's leaving. We'll see what he says once he's left.

Just seen this on twitter: Arsenal's win percentage in the league when Rambo doesn't start - 48%
Arsenal's win percentage in the league when Rambo starts - 71%
If there ever was a demonstrable indicator of a player's value to the team this is it.

It is actually even worse, as the majority of the games where he played in were BIG games, where he almost always delivered. Unfortunately, the majority of games where he didn't start, were against 'lesser' teams, where we lost - eg. Southampton, West Ham, Palace, Leicester, Wolves or drew eg. BHA, Wolves, Palace

Incredible oversight from the Arsenal management. I do find it strange that the team wasn't built around him. He's a very unique midfielder and I don't think it's possible to replace him directly. Someone that does remind me of him though is that Donny van de Beek who plays for Ajax.

Bad though that would be it's still better than my first panicked reading of the headline on the BBC website i.e that Ramsey's career was over. Imagine my relief at my mistake...

Ramsey has played his last game for Arsenal then as he is out for rest of season. Does that mean he misses Croatia/Hungary games in June? The statement from the club seems to read that the semis and the last two premier league games will come too soon for him, suggesting that he is almost fit.
