I know France is everyones main priority but anyone booked for our first two aways yet, i paid 130 for a british airways return flight to vienna flying out from heathrow on the 5th and back 7th october. Moldova is looking too expensive at the moment especially if we get through the group games and i have to stay out there longer than planned. Anyone got any ideas on cheap ways to get to moldova??

I'm going to do Austria. Ryan Air Birmingham to Bratislava is a very convenient flight (time-wise), unless you are in the London area.

Easyjet fly Bristol to Vienna Monday and Friday which works well with the game being Thursday night.
Moldova could be tricky to get tickets because of the small ground but looking forward to Tbilisi. Hoping to have a few days in Riga on the way out.

Interesting option. the flight via Bucharest ... But I still feel there is no better place to spend the first week of September then next to the Black Sea in Odessa! And then you are about 200Km / 2 hours away by train ;-)

A heads up regarding Odessa, you may have to take a detour around Transnistria if you're heading in that way as if you enter through it, it's considered 'illegal' by Moldova and you will not get an entry stamp. On the way out, you can freely pass through Transnistria to get there, which I would highly recommend for a throwback to the Cold War!
I think I said this in the other thread but bus/train from Bucharest (which is served by many low cost airlines) to Chisinau is easy enough.
