Is Frank getting the job at Chelsea a good or bad thing for Ethan? I see it as an exciting opportunity for Ethan. He had very limited opportunities last season with Sarri so rather hopeful for him under FL.

Is Frank getting the job at Chelsea a good or bad thing for Ethan? I think Lampard will unlike the other managers given time to build so for Ethan and the other young British players it will be good for them same at Spurs with Pochettino and man utd with Solskjaer with other British and welsh players. Man city ,Arsenal and liverpool British youngsters will never be given opportunities except for the odd token one.

Young players get given opportunities at ANY club if they're good enough.
The trouble with teams like City and Liverpool is that they're chock full of top players so any youngster in the academy or u23s has to be excellent.
Let's face it, if Matt Smith was as good as Fernandinho or Foden then Pep would play him.
Wilson has to be as good as Mane, Salah, Shaquiri or Chamberlain. Plainly he's not.
Managers of top clubs, under huge pressure to deliver, are not obligated to develop youngsters who aren't near to 1st team quality.

played the first 45mins against bohemians and he's trending on twitter with everyone raving about his display, praising his hard-tackling and vision. He played in midfield and just come off with a completely new xi for the second half. positive signs, i will be gutted if he has another season sat on the bench.

I don't agree with this mainly because you don't know they are good enough until they are played in the first team. How do you know they are good enough from u23 football? Ben Davies could have easily never made it to the first team without Taylor's ankle injury and ended up on the scrapheap. I don't remember anyone calling him a wonderkid or saying 'this kids gna make it' beforehand.

I love watching this guy play football, so calm, always knows his options, knows exactly what he's going to do with the ball, never seems to take an unnecessary touch

I'd be surprised if he didn't play a fair few games under Lampard's management next season, given how he made use of youngsters at Derby.

Yes I know they are under pressure to deliver but UEFA are out to get these top teams with financial fair play so they may have to give youngsters the opportunities. In the case of Ex Palace Wan Bissaka injuries to our regular full back gave him the opportunity same with Ben Davies at Swansea and they did not look back and in the case of Wan Bissaka he was certainly not a star in the reserves.

Hear what you're saying but Wan Bussaka has gone from one mid table team to a richer mid table team. Davies was always highly rated at Swansea and has gone on to be a decent/good left back but can't hold down a starting position at a top side. Klopp will give Brewster some game time and has blooded Alexander-Arnold. He might give Wilson some game time in the cups but why on earth would he start him on a regular basis when he was good but not outstanding in the Championship? If players feel they aren't developing as quickly as they would like then the onus is on them to be better or move.

Villa favorites but I reckon a season with a good Championship side would see him getting more game time.
Swansea fits the bill perfectly.
Manager known for handling young players well. Play good possession football. Family connection so he won't be homesick.
