Ampadu WILL be a world class player and will earn 100+ caps for Wales barring injuries.
He will be captain once Bale, Ramsey Allen retire and will become one of our all time greats.
I'm not one for bigging up players but this lad is special

Doubt he'll see any time but, even still, good be a really good match today (Leipzig V Bayern Munich)

Is he playing/on the bench tonight? Can't find Leipzig's lineup online anywhere.

Not even in the squad. Doesn't look good tbh, at this rate he will be returned to Chelsea.
I think a lot here have overhyped him massively. If he was THAT good, Chelsea would've kept him.

A) He's not massively overhyped. He's very, very good. B) He's had a long lay off - it makes every sense to farm him out on loan at his age and experience. It's not as it he's been sent out to a Championship or even lower Prem club. He's at a Champions League club. Have some belief, and above all else some patience. He will play - hopefully ahead of the double-header, because a fit and in form Ampadu would make a big difference to the heart of our midfield.

He has been massively overhyped I’m afraid. There’s been talks of him being ‘world class’ and the best of our young bunch. I really dont see it. I’ve watched a lot of our games back recently, and he had a very good game against a poor Irish side, but apart from that I’d argue Smith has been the better performer.
Hopefully I’ll be proven wrong, but I havent seen evidence of potentially a truly great player........yet.
I was trying to imagine him instead of Morrell in the Belarus game, but I just had the image of a slow and ponderous player, slowing the play down and disrupting play. I dont like being harsh, but I feel we need a reality check sonetimes.

You're underestimating how good Ampadu was against ROI at home. He was majestic - at the tender age of 17. That's why he's so highly rated. I don't know what the opposite of over-hyping is, but you're certainly underestimating the impact of the injury he had last season. If there's one thing that Welsh fans should understand by now is the importance of our players being match fit. Howe many times have the likes of Bale, Ramsey and Allen not impressed due to them coming back from injury. And how many times have they been written off as a consequence?

He's injured again according to twitter.
Agree he will become a top draw player.

Given a 5 year contract with one of the biggest clubs in the world on your eighteenth birthday. Must be an OK player.
Agree though that Smith is a bit ahead of him at the mo.

He’d probably get more game time if he stayed at Chelsea judging by their start to the season compared to Leipzig’s.

If Ampadu is out, is a midfield of Ramsey-Allen-Joniesta on the cards?

He's injured again according to twitter. Agree he will become a top draw player. If that's the case then it's more evidence to backup why he won't become a truly great player. Just look an J Williams, Huws and even Bale to a certain degree. For an 18 year old kid, he's never looked a picture of health on the pitch. Trudging around like he's 70 years old at times!

Well exactly, although not injury related, Woodburn has flopped big time. Personally, Woodburn is most certainly a lost cause imo, struggling again at League 1 Oxford.

He’d probably get more game time if he stayed at Chelsea judging by their start to the season compared to Leipzig’s. But wouldn't Chelsea have kept hold of him if they wanted to? Given how highly he is rated on here (and tbf I can understand the hype with him and Brooks more than with the others) it is very, very conspicuous that Chelsea, already under an embargo and forced to turn to youngsters, put him up for loan for a whole season. Does Lampard rate him?

What makes you think he's struggling at Oxford?
Imagine saying a 19 year old is certainly a lost cause ffs.

So much negativity around our young players it's unbelievable.
I've said this before about Ampadu and I'll say it about Woodburn - even if they just become regular premier league players they will be massive for us. We're a tiny nation that produces a world class player every ten years or so.
Let's not call kids lost causes because they aren't getting into champions league sides at 19.

It's so reactionary it's unbelievable. It's a bloody good thing we didn't give up on Dan James and Harry Wilson when they had loans that didn't go well!

It's reactionary both ways though, Woodburn was built up as some sort of messiah when he first started getting on the pitch. It's hilarious when managers like Klopp get slagged off for not playing our 17 year olds! As is often the case with life in general, they are not as good as some claim, but not as bad as others claim either. Best to leave the hype until they have properly earned it.

On the bench yesterday. I didn't realise Leipzig's good form, they're top of Bundesliga at the moment and unbeaten in their last 7 games.
They have 3 games before the international break.
Lyon in the champions league, Schalke and Bayer Leverkusen in the league.
Difficult for Ampadu to break into the team, but at least he's fit and available.
