Group A: England, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Kosovo Group B: Portugal, Ukraine, Serbia, Lithuania, Luxembourg Group C: Netherlands, Germany, Northern Ireland, Estonia, Belarus Group D: Switzerland, Denmark, Republic of Ireland, Georgia, Gibraltar Group E: Croatia, Wales, Slovakia, Hungary, Azerbaijan Group F: Spain, Sweden, Norway, Romania, Faroe Islands, Malta Group G: Poland, Austria, Israel, Slovenia, Macedonia, Latvia Group H: France, Iceland, Turkey, Albania, Moldova, Andorra Group I: Belgium, Russia, Scotland, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, San Marino Group J: Italy, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Finland, Greece, Armenia, Liechtenstein Put us in pot 2 in any of those other groups compared to what we've got: A: About the same but prefer Bulgaria as 3rd seed B: Worse than what we have, but only because of Serbia C: Better than what we have D: Would probably take over what we have F: Probably worse than what we have G: Better than what we have H: About the same I: Better than what we have J: Probably about the same overall, but both Finland and Greece eminently beatable I'd probably prefer about 5 other groups to what we ended up with.

Not too bad to be honest. Slovakia and Hungary can be tough nuts to crack but I'd take them over Serbia and Georgia any day of the week.
Rep. Of Ireland drawn with Denmark (again) and Georgia?? Ouch. Same goes for Northern Ireland. Very, very tough groups that I don't see either team making out of.
All these groups seem relatively evenly-matched to be honest.
Incidentally, does anyone recall if any of the pot 3 or 4 teams in our group are guaranteed a play-off? If so, they might be more relaxed facing off against us knowing they have the insurance policy in the bag.
We have to go all out to win.

Azerbaijan 60,000+. Hungary apparently opening a new one with over 60,000 capacity too. Ironically both the top teams have comparatively tiny stadia. What about Slovakia? 19,200 according to Wikipedia

19,200 according to Wikipedia Cheers I might struggle for that one. Think we only get 5% of the capacity and Croatia is 35k so might be a no no

Any of the board anoraks have details of stadium size/ticket allocation? Reckon as long as we get 2500 tickets I should be ok. Azerbaijan 60,000+. Hungary apparently opening a new one with over 60,000 capacity too. Ironically both the top teams have comparatively tiny stadia. New Budapest stadium not opening until the end of 2019. The current stadium used has a capacity of 22,000 or so. That's the biggest shame. Group was made for a double header away. You could through a blanket over 3 of the venues. Unfortunately being only a five team group make it much less likely.

Slovakia finished 3rd in League B so are probably going to get one but not absolutely certain. Hungary finished 2nd in their League C group but are unlikely to get a play-off. We have a much better chance than either of being in the play-offs.

Loved Tblisi and aim to go back, had to book last minute and cost an arm and a leg but Holiday Inn was best I have ever stayed in and flew Business class (as so late it was cheaper than econ) and worth every penny.
Copenhagen will fly into Malmo and take bus across........ makes London look cheap.
We played Denmark 4 times, drew 0-0, 3 times. Big loss 1-5 but we led and playing well until 2 stupid defence errors gave then lead, head dropped by teams, then changed formation at half time and got thumped in second half. Up to them scoring it was best playing of whole qualifiers.
Bearing in mind how bad we played in last 12 months then we can only play better.

Looks a LOT easier to get an Azerbaijan visa than it used to be. No more hanging around the embassy waiting to get your passports back the day before you fly out.

I've posted the minimum allocations in another thread. They are:
Croatia: 1771 Slovakia: 960 Hungary: 1185 Azerbaijan: 3485
Assuming we face Croatia in Zagreb and Azerbaijan in the Olympic stadium.

Hell WC2018 I met Americans who have never been to a football match before who booked a ticket because ease of entry with Fan ID. 2 guys said they get asked ton of questions when they visited EU, Moscow border guards looked, gave ID, welcomed them and a week later they still wondering WTF, Russia was supposed to be hard to get into. One said got a 6 week Visa for $110 (cost of ticket), chance to go all over Russia v $400, 4 week normal Visa wait.

NI have not been on good form lately and their success, based on a mean defence and midfield, both of which are ageing, looks like coming to an end. Particularly with the b1tch of a group they got. We could not have drawn Austria.

If all sell outs then maybe issues but if Stadiums not full then can see a different persepctive.
Just checked and max attendance they had was 21,800 v Portugal in WC qualifiers.

So we are unlikely to get any extra allocation for the Hungary game unless the main stadium is redeveloped by the time we play them

I'd prefer to qualify myself.

More to do with capacity of away section I believe.

Or Aeroflot via Moscow
The direct flight from London is expensive
