Giggs should bollock his starting 11 and send them all out for 45 to perform as they should have last night. Second half he can begin capping a load of Anglos if he has to.

What would everyone’s team for Belarus be? I think it needs to be Ward in goal. Even without the mistake I think it should be standard to play the number 2 keeper in friendlies. I don’t want Taylor to start again, but I think he needs to play this one to get that mistake out of him. Splitting time between Smith and Ampadu. Think the rest need to get more minutes under their belt.
Ward Roberts Mepham Rodon Taylor Smith Allen Wilson J Williams James Lawrence
Fully expect this team to see out a 0-0 draw.

Two points - If it's true that only around 5,000 tickets have been sold, therefore similair to many others who've commented on here, this match should have been arranged to be played at the Racecourse, it'd be sold out by now, but the FAW don't listen to North Walians do they, yet they just accept our monies.
Giggs should play Adam Davies for the whole of this match,Wayne has been a great servant, but he made some errors last night, and he's not getting any younger.

I'd love to see us playing basically the first 11 (at least in the first half), but trying to solve the number 9/10 issue.
I'd be tempted to go with:
Ward Roberts Rodon Mepham Davies Smith Ampadu Bale Williams James Vokes or Moore

Perhaps give play Vokes and give Moore at least 45' up top. I don't see why Bale cant play first 45' in stead of Wilson

Who else is there? Vokes can’t score from 5 yards, Moore is too old unless he’ll make an immediate impact, Woodburn not setting league 1 alight. I agree Lawrence up front is awful but what other options is there?

Lawrence would work in a front three but playing as a nine isn’t his game.

Not a fan.

Crikey that say something which isn't nice. Personally would allow in anybody under 16 in free, even to make an atmosphere.

I think he wants to experiment against Belarus and the problem with playing it at the Racecourse is that, if the last game there is anything to go by, Giggs will be under pressure to play a strong team from the ‘I took my 10 year old boy who wanted to see Bale’ types. Disclaimer- I obviously aren’t counting the clearly loyal North Wales based fans who travel south for every game in this statement.

If Ward and Davies aren’t going to be playing for their clubs then there isn’t going to be much point playing one of them for a single game against Belarus, even less point in giving them a half each.
Despite the poor performance on Friday, Wayne is still our best option so we may as we’ll stick with him on Monday as he’s the one more likely to get appearances for his club this season.

Would like to see an equally strong side out against Belarus, if Giggs treats this as another game to chuck out a B team when our A team can't strong two passes then we have no hope.
I'd probably rest Roberts.
Hennessey
Gunter Rodon Mepham Davies
Allen Smith
James J Williams Bale/Lawrence
Moore/Bale

Agree. Monday should be all about prepping for the next double header. We need to get that right or we’re out.

Giggs suggested on SSN that Bale is going to play some part tomorrow night.
Not sure that will impress those who were disappointed with the calibre of squad we got for the Trinidad game in Wrexham!

Anyone playing regular football for their club should be rested, unless they already had a rest like Lockyer.

It's a meaningless friendly, schedules are hectic especially for the Championship players, and as a small nation we can't afford to lose players to preventable fatigue-related injuries now or later in the season. That the game is on a Monday is a blessing, at least. It's sensible to manage players through the early months to help them stay fit and ready during the later ones.
And on the other side with some of our squad horribly short of minutes a good performance for Wales could put them in a better position for their clubs ahead of our next round of competitive games.

It’s not meaningless if we use it to prep for the next set of games. If Giggs thinks his game plan want being executed, tomorrow night is a chance to put that right.

And on the other side with some of our squad horribly short of minutes a good performance for Wales could put them in a better position for their clubs ahead of our next round of competitive games. Fair point. However, given that in Giggs' 14-game tenure there still isn't a clear style of play, there has been no consistency in team selection and that this is our last chance to embed a clearer structure before our last four games, I think that's a greater concern than avoiding fatigue so early in the season. It is clear that the players don't know what they're supposed to be doing or they're not doing what they're supposed to for whatever reason. That could be because a) Giggs doesn't really know how he wants to play in any great detail (that's my hunch), b) he does have a specific style he's trying to implement but is communicating it poorly to the players, or c) the players know what the style of play is and are refusing to follow suit (which is what Giggs loosely hinted at in the post-match interview). Either way, we need to use this friendly as a way to resolve that issue, otherwise we have little chance to get what we need from the final four games. Also, another of Giggs' excuses was that the players weren't doing what they were supposed to because he only had two sessions with them. That's fine, but what did he use the several weeks (including a week out in portugal) prior to the croatia game for? We looked just as clueless in that game. I'm sure I've also heard that other international managers give players instructions in between international breaks to have adequate time to get their ideas across. Is giggs behind on that too?

I'll post the lineup I would pick, and then the line up I think Giggs will pick based on his comments in the presser.
Hennessey Gunter-Mepham-Rodon-Taylor Allen-Ampadu Bale-Joniesta-James Moore
For me Ward doesn't warrant any game time. If he had moved to a club where he was playing, he would likely have started vs Azerbaijan. Instead he has done nothing to further his cause for a starting place, therefore give Hennessey this game for a bit of sharpness since he will 100% be playing the double header. I've tried to keep the team the same where possible. Give Roberts a rest, bring Davies on HT for Taylor. Play with a traditional 9/10 in Joniesta/Moore. I'd like to see Moore instead of Vokes because we know what Vokes brings but I'd like to see what Moore is like. This lineup would help develop the relationships between Meps-Rodon, Allen-Ampadu, and James-Taylor. Taylor is quite likely to start the double header I think given that Davies is a whole pre-season behind everyone else.
What I think Giggs will do; Ward Gunter-Lockyer-Lawrence-Davies Smith-Ampadu Bale-Joniesta-Woodburn Moore

I particularly agree on retaining the Mepham Rodon partnership = at least for one half.

I think we should put out our best possible starting eleven, treat it like a dress rehearsal for our next double-header to see what we can do and how we can play, rather than an outing.

Remember when they gave us tournament ticket holders a free ticket for Finland in November 2013?
Could've done the same for tonight / made it £5 for those that have one etc.

I think that Australia game was the last home game I missed too. Feels like all that momentum and support that built up since the Euro campaign is evaporating.
