Was pondering whether to go tonight, but a case of man flu has made that decision for me.

Team out. Ward in for Hennessey, Davies for Taylor. Starts for Morrell, Joniesta and Moore. At least it looks reasonably balanced, although I don't know much about Morrell. Good to see Mepham and Rodon starting again. Surprised Roberts is starting - thought Gunter would get some game time - not that I'm disappointed with that.

Remember when they gave us tournament ticket holders a free ticket for Finland in November 2013? Could've done the same for tonight / made it £5 for those that have one etc. That would have required someone at the FAW developing some brain cells

Hmmm...I’m not sure about the start for Morrell, would have preferred to see Smith who with only a few caps himself is still more experienced. We really need a morale boosting win tonight. Giggs trigger happy with debuts and team selection chopping again.
Another embarrassing Albania-esque result tonight.

Happy with that team on the whole, especially after a few made the point of playing the 2 CBs together again. I would've started Bale and Smith tonight ahead of Wilson and Morrell but the rest is exactly what I would've gone for.

The cynic in me says that Giggs is only handing out these caps to defend himself if/when things go wrong "Look how many debuts I handed out! I had to work with a young squad!" etc How many debuts has he handed out now? 11?

Not too unhappy with that team. Glad there's a solid back four - good platform, minutes for Davies, and further game time for the Mepham Rodon partnership. Also strong out wide in James and Wilson, and experience and passing ability in Allen and Joniesta in the middle. Moore as a target man will be an interesting prospect.
On the face of it the selection is a round pegs in round holes one for once, so I'm reasonably content.

ALLEN - SHOOT FOR FUCK'S SAKE Based on the evidence tonight and the Azerbaijan game, I'm convinced Joe would look for a pass if he had an open goal in front of him. This is why he'll never get back to the Premier League, he's not a team player.

Is it just me or did Moore make a great run into space from that break by Allen and should have been given a pass. If he weighted it right Moore was through on goal. Surprisingly good movement for a striker in a Wales shirt!

Mepham for me is starting to look like a liability, giving away very petty fouls and seems erratic in general. Rodon looks much more assured.

Like Morrell he looks very tidy on the ball.
Connor Roberts having a bit of a nightmare so far, given the ball away needlessly a few times.
Bring on Gunter.

J Williams is a technically gifted player, he really is.
Wilson our weak link tonight, he’s been poor, again.

Much better than Friday. Morrell and Allen linking better than Ampadu, Davies streets ahead of Taylor and Jonny showing exactly what we were missing.

Not a bad first half to be fair. Great finish by James. Impressed with Joe Morrell so far - decent on the ball and not afraid to put in a tackle. Jonny's probably been our best player. Roberts has been full of energy down the right as usual, but hasn't had any luck so far. Wilson has been anonymous except for that one pass where he should have shot. Kieffer Moore not had much of a chance to do anything, but don't really see what he brings to the table - poor man's Vokes.

Wilson's decision making, passing and crossing is way off. I'd leave him on to redeem himself though.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, Allen plays better alongside Smith, and on tonights viewing, also Morrell. For all of Ampadu's talent, he doesn't fit in with Allen's quick passing style of play.
