Crazy how people on here don't realise Gunter is done. Subs all poor tonight. If Moore is a poor man's Vokes who was that clown we brought on to replace him? Ref didn't bottle anything, it was a friendly so he treated it as such. Set the tone when he didn't book Allen early on. Williams as MotM was a joke. Gives the ball away far too often, and in dangerous areas. Morrell, Allen and Rodon our best players tonight. Barely put a foot wrong between them. Ampadu needs to start playing soon or else he might not be able to dine out on that Ireland performance much longer. Exactly, it's all very well complaining about Moore but we give our strikers scraps- you can't judge him until he's horsed a good few shots over the bar. Vokes has had 64 chances to score 11 goals and people object to Moore because he didn't achieve a lot in 1 cap?! As I said earlier, watch how when Allen got the ball he made a run in between the two centre backs and was in space waiting for a pass which went to Wilson. Basic stuff really but I can't remember seeing decent movement from Wales striker in an age. It was strangely reminiscent of Bale at Real Madrid- almost purposely being ignored even though he was in a great position. I hope they persist with the likes of Bradshaw and Moore, we need someone more mobile up top especially if we are going to make counter attacking a big part of our approach. Vokes is yesterday's man unfortunately.

7,666.......................... disgusting, depressing attendance.
FFS every game I attend (aside from the Cardiff games v us) involves flights, not going to friendly because just back from 2 weeks in Ireland and need to go there again this weekend. But have ensured my tickets get used by family members.
A pitiful attendance where just about 25% full.

The only excuse is that Wales is a 2nd world country and people simply don’t have any cash.

Also got a season ticket at Old Trafford. My outside business interests such as my hotel take up a lot of my time as well. Not to mention regular trips to Vietnam. How can we question the commitment of fans, when we have a Manager that treats Welsh international football as being low down on his priority list? Having said that, I wonder how many of those on social media that make constant references to 'Giggs didn't do friendlies' actually went last night.

Also, I don't get what you mean by tickets getting used by family members? Tournament ticket holders still had to pay £20 for this game.

Expecting fans from all over Wales to pop down to Cardiff for a second time in 4 days for a Monday night friendly was a bit silly, really. Schools are back as well. No point having a go at the fans for not showing up, it was simply poor planning.

Incidentally, check out some of the attendances for actual qualifiers around Europe over the past week, a lot were considerably less than 7,000.

Poor results and performance will ultimately lead to poor attendance. Even months prior to the Euro's, a home friendly against NI only drew in 20k, you'd think we'd have sold out considering we'd qualified for a major competition for the first time in 50+ years. Count your blessings that you can get 30k-40k regularly whether you play shite or not.

Cant help but feel a lot more positive after last night. Granted the opposition weren't up to much but our back five looked like a proper unit and will only get better the more they play together.
Morrell slotted in seamlessly and has given us another option in the middle. He wont be in league 1 for long.
Jonny is as Jonny does. Great to have him back and looking much stronger.
Not 100% convinced on Moore, looked a notch below the level required but he gives us another option. I'd expect Vokes to still be selected in competitive games if needed.
Still not quite there in the final third but we had enough chances and it could have been 3 or 4 on another day. I'm more confident the goals will come, especially when Ramsey is back.
With results going our way we're in a much better position but we have to get it right in the next doubler header. Over to you Ryan.

I pick up my kids in another country and fly them to Ireland. A single game involves multiple flights and planning and we miss little.
I have a couple of season tickets and if I cannot go (rarely) then family members get them to go so the tickets are used.

Taking into account the difference in population between ourselves and Ireland, we had around the same number of home fans (proportionately) as yourselves. You were top of your group going into this fixture, yet ours was on the back of 2 losses.

I agree with much of that, but I was really impressed with Moore, as others have pointed out, he seems more mobile than Vokes, and he was unlucky not to get on the score sheet after making some good runs. What I really hope is, that Giggs has sussed out that we're better off starting with a traditional number 9 up front. I'm tempted to say Danny Ward should take the number 1 shirt now, but he's not playing for his club either, so it would be difficult to drop Hennessey. I thought Morrell's decision making was really good for the most part, he wanted the ball even with players around him, his first touch was good, and he didn't hide, could be a new David Vaughan for us.

Definitely agree with this after last night. Actually having a striker that doesn’t run in behind allowed us to get our wingers in behind more. When Lawrence was up there he would make that run and we were often rushing it to him, and this would inhibit James/Bale from making that run from deeper where it’s harder to track. With Moore there he would occupy the centre backs and bring others into it, leaving more space in behind. We saw from playing Hungary as well how having Szalai against our centre backs left space for their midfielders to run on to. It also provides a valuable outlet for the long ball and means we retained possession more frequently against Belarus. The debate will be that if we do go with a target man between Moore vs Vokes. I think this run of games between now and the double header should tell us. Whoever is playing regularly between now and then deserves a start. I don’t mind if Moore is relatively inexperienced on the international level, away to Slovakia we need someone to just battle up there and I see no reason why he can’t do that.

Also, some of the Northern football goers might have been able to see Bale!
