Why hasn't Maxwell been called up? If James Lawrence playing in the German 2nd tier or wherever is good enough, then surely a first team goalkeeper in Scotland is?

Sounds like the hope is that he steps up a level or two and gets regular games. If he does then he could be a valuable asset to the squad.
The whole Anglo thing doesn't matter as long as he is educated on what it means to play for this country and what it means to be Welsh, which is the whole system that Osian put in place. We all need to trust Osh's system, as we have certainly benefitted from it far more often than not.

I don't get why we've called up a fourth keeper, and why we've called up King instead of Maxwell I doubt he's there to play, I'd suggest its only to have a proper look at him. Being brutally honest, Maxwell's ship has probably sailed. With King being only 24 however, some in the camp may feel he has it in him to play at a higher level so they've brought him in early to see what he's about and how he trains/performs with higher level players around him. |

I think they probably want to look at King specifically...not just a younger keeper. I know FAW reps have been looking at him and keeping an eye on him. They've probably identified some markers to his game that suggest he can step up a few levels quickly. They're well aware of Evans on the other hand, been on the dev pathway since 2013. |
