People lose paper tickets too. Don't get me wrong I'd rather have a paper ticket than worry about losing my phone/phone failure, but not sure I'd cancel the entire trip because of it.

I think the chance to list your tickets has now passed, at least for now. Not sure you'd have many people wanting to buy them anyway.

Just after anyone with experience of Baku's thoughts on the train to Tbilisi, please. Basically after the Turkey game, we need to connect to Tbilisi for a day before picking up our onward connection to Rome. I did a little bit of research before booking flights, as to how viable an option it was - and looked suitable. Just hoping someone could confirm my thought process or should I start looking at alternatives? My plan at mo: Day after Turkey game - pick up overnight train Baku - Tbilisi (4 people)Day in Tbilisi Next day fly out. Seems straight forward enough - my concerns are down to the lack of advance booking availability on that train website. Does anyone envisage that being an issue - would that train ever sell out? Given it is the only available train and my only potential stumbling block (well that and being turfed out of our Baku hotel booking), trying to cover all bases and get some reassurance. Appreciate any thoughts. Ta For a watch of what could have been (or can be next year), here is an episode of Chris Tarrant taking the train Baku to Tbilisi - www.my5.tv/chris-tarrant-extreme-railways-1219cca5-833d-4cab-b0ae-80214c25417f/season-2/trans-caucasus-railway

I did the Yerevan to Batumi train ride in September 2017, after our Chisinau game. It goes via Tbilisi, but in that direction it pulls into TBS around midnight, so I preferred to stay on it until Batumi (6am). Brilliant ride and I had a 4-berth cabin all to myself ;-) Think it cost under £20... The old town in Batumi is surprisingly pleasant - certainly worth a couple of days.
Yerevan ... well ... wonderful city. Was planning to go again after Baku this summer ;-)

Yup, cheers! Was impressed with the train network when we were out there. Really wanted to be on one of those double deckers they showed on the last leg, but even the older train was decent.

Damn we are certainly missing out on the sunny weather in Baku it was 32c yesterday and 34c today. I don't remember any of the bars being set up with places to drink outside when we were there in November. From memory they just about all opened directly onto the pavement with no external drinking areas. Not so great drinking inside on a lovely summers day.

Agreed only the few bars around fountain square had outside spaces and the street with Hard Rock Cafe. After the way a lot of the hotel owners ripped off Welsh fans I’m sure it’s their loss not ours.

Anyone booked the flame towers hotel in Baku for next year? Had email yesterday from booking.com saying credit card declined (even though it’s a pay when you get there booking). Updated with different credit card and as of yet booking not cancelled. Not holding out much hope though. Anyone else had this problem given so many hotels cancelled first time round?

I've just been quoted $600 + tax per night at the Holiday Inn Baku 'due to high demand for UEFA 2021'.
Robbing gits.
I've had £1.99 taken by Apple today off a credit card that has been used to reserve other hotels in Baku. I've never used my credit card to purchase Apple products, so have cancelled the card.
Why oh why couldn't they have given games to Cardiff?

Looks like it’s Russia for Euro 21 single country tournament Great idea. Hopefully, the supreme leader, Vladimir, will subsidise compulsory vaccinations at the border crossings and then finance a two-week Summer camp in Belarus, for all fans, before attending games.

Useful information for anyone travelling to the Euros. - Airlines do not refund for flights if the flights are still going even if you are restricted from travelling by the government. Ryanair for example. This also applies to any extras booked with the flight such as car parking, seats. luggage etc.
- Some booking agencies will charge an admin fee for the refund. eSky.com for example.
- We were booked to fly from Tbilisi to Baku on Buta Airways - they still have not refunded. They say they will do so when their flight schedule is back to normal!
- When booking hotels check the cancellation policy. Sometimes the cheapest deal has a no-refund policy.
- AirBnB is by far the best for cancellations. Double check before booking but we had no problems cancelling all accommodation.
- In general it has taken many months to get the refunds from the airlines so don't hold your breath.
Note that these points are from my experience in 2020 and may be different for other airlines or may have changed in the meantime.

Can anyone clarify? Does this mean that those who had Follow My Team tickets don’t have tickets to the 3 Group stage matches. That all 6 tickets have been cancelled? I assume the group tickets still count unless you've cancelled them yourself. I'm expecting the Italy game to be cancelled in due course although those returning to the UK after Baku probably wont be able to travel anyway. The figures reman stubbornly high in Italy, would have expected to see them dropping by now. As a matter of interest, how many are there with intentions of still going to Baku ? I know I'm the last out of our group of 8. Another problem on the horizon for those thinking of travelling to Baku via Istanbul ( the main route) .....All of Turkey have just gone into full lockdown. Turkeys cases are rocketing and are now the highest they have been since the pandemic began. their vaccine programme has stalled and they have only vaccinated approx 8 million of the 100 million population.

Turkish Air cancelled our Istanbul to Rome flight last weekend. I’m expecting our BA flight from London to Istanbul to be cancelled any minute. I’m glad I cashed in the tickets. Getting anywhere other than the uk will be difficult. Hats off to those who are braving it.

Hugely dearer than we paid last time but no transfers en route. If I remember rightly in 2019 we had change out of £ 200 and that included 4 nights in the hotel. Not much of an hotel though.

credit note from UEFA came through today for the knock out stages. No doubt we're cancelled. If we get through there'll be some angst about the ticket distribution. Still no news on whether we'll be let into the Rome game or even Italy for that matter.
