Exact same thing happened to me, so I am absolutely fearing the worst. There’s an article in BBC about cancelled tickets also, which isn’t helping! Keeping everything crossed

After reading that article it did make me aware of how we were fortunate to get these tickets. But i think we are safe in all honesty mate, says a couple of hundred fans in England were affected, but promptly emailed. i've had no cancellation email, and i'm guessing you haven't either!

Has anyone booked train tickets from within Italy to Rome yet? Just looked on italiarail and Bologna to Rome is €62 one way, thought it may be cheaper than that?

Italotreno high speed train tickets are on sale on their website up until 13th June at the moment so would imagine tickets for the 19th/20th/21st will be on sale next weekend. As a matter of interest there are single tickets available at certain times between Bologna and Rome for 30 Euros on the 13th June. Italotreno high speed trains highly recommended on the Man in Seat 61 website.

Just after anyone with experience of Baku's thoughts on the train to Tbilisi, please. Basically after the Turkey game, we need to connect to Tbilisi for a day before picking up our onward connection to Rome. I did a little bit of research before booking flights, as to how viable an option it was - and looked suitable. Just hoping someone could confirm my thought process or should I start looking at alternatives?
My plan at mo:
Day after Turkey game - pick up overnight train Baku - Tbilisi (4 people)
Day in Tbilisi
Next day fly out.
Seems straight forward enough - my concerns are down to the lack of advance booking availability on that train website. Does anyone envisage that being an issue - would that train ever sell out? Given it is the only available train and my only potential stumbling block (well that and being turfed out of our Baku hotel booking), trying to cover all bases and get some reassurance.
Appreciate any thoughts.

IF GOING TO BOLOGNA, the same BusCenter bus goes Rome-Bologna Dept midnight arrive 0445 for €15

Its travel in the opposite direction that you can't for some reason. Edit:Just looked on Man in seat 61 - you can book 10 days in advance and collect your ticket from the station.

Apologies to the MODS, but I believe this is worth duplicating ;-)
Currently, Easy Jet Bristol-Rome return is circa ... £900 ;-(
More straightforward, but still pricey is Easy Jet BRS - PISA or NAPLES for £260 return + €20 / 2-hour train.
DEPARTING VERY LATE ON THURSDAY? WIZZ AIR fly BRS to KATOWICE Dept Thur 2130 arrive 0100 on Friday for £45 FLIXBUS have a 2-hour bus to KRAKOW for €10 Dept 2am. Ryan Air fly FRIDAY Krakow to ROME Dept 1540 arrive Rome 1735 for £44 OR A DAY IN KRAKOW? Ryan Air fly FRIDAY Krakow to PISA Dept 9pm arrive Pisa 2250 for £28
IF YOU DON'T MIND CONNECTING AND STAYING OVERNIGHT IN COLOGNE
BRS-CGN Dept Friday 5pm on Ryan Air for £20 CGN-ROME Dept Saturday on Ryan Air at 12:35 and arrive ROME at 14:30 for €79
VERY EARLY START ON FRIDAY / Ryan Air Dept BRS 06:30 and arrive 09:50 Valencia £80 4 hours at Valencia Dept 13:55 and arrive ROME 15:50 €21
PUSHED FOR TIME? BRS-WARSAW on Ryan Air Saturday 2140 arrive WAW Sunday 0110 for £19 WAW-ROME on Wizz Air Dept SUNDAY 0630 arrive ROME 0900 for £55
TRAVEL ON SUNDAY - MATCH DAY Bristol to BOLOGNA on Ryan Air Dept 0700 arrive 1020 £56 Train from BOL to ROME circa €20-€30 2-hours
East Midlands to Pisa also on Ryan Air Dept Sunday 1125 arrive PISA 1440 for £21 ... this one is much less comfortable for the 6pm ko...
Have a play around n the Lufthansa web site. £150-£200 return fares BRS-Rome, but only obvious flight back arrives BRS on Tuesday 0900 - but worth a look!
FOR THOSE IN THE LONDON AREA
An interesting connecting flight to catch is Ryan Air FROM Paris Beauvais to ROME. There is a 20:50 on THURSDAY evening getting into Rome at 11pm FOR ONLY €25<!----><!----><!---->

I'll wait anyway for a better price!

Pretty sure that Seat61 talks about Summer schedule and prices coming out as little as 30 days before those dates...

There was a press release last week saying they'd received 25 million applications for the 2.5 million tickets available. Clearly Baku was always going to be a difficult sell but you'd have thought the rest would have been pretty much sold out if those figures are right. Some games are going to be more popular than others. Amsterdam, Rome, Wembley, Munich are going to be very popular as they feature their actual nations playing 3 games there and are all 'top tier' countries. Probably 10 million applications, if not more, for the final alone.

Been a while since I last looked at Baku/Tbilisi flights. What time is the earliest that you can be at an airport / which airport? Thursday from anywhere really. Don't want to do Stanstead. Heathrow, Gatwick ok, Bristol, Manchester, Liverpool, Brum all ok. Going on to Rome on 18/19th. then home on 22nd. The absolute bare-bones cheapest option for those wanting to leave Thursday is:
Ryan Air Liverpool Dept 13:45 arrive 16:55 Milan Malpensa for ONLY £17Ryan Air East Mids to Milan BERGAMO Thurs 15:25 -18:25 for £34 Ryan Air Bristol to Milan BERGAMO Thurs 12:25 -15:25 for £68 Ryan Air Bristol to Milan Malpensa Thurs 5pm-8pm for £56 overnight in Milan or BergamoRyan Air Milan BERGAMO to TBILISI Friday 3.45pm-10pm now up to €89 OTHERWISE - A NIGHT IN COPENHAGEN?WIZZ AIR FLY Copenhagen TO Kutaisi (KUT) on Friday Dept 10:00 arrive KUT 16:00. Bus to Tbilisi from airport up to 4 hours / €15 – flight fare is £44 so not a huge saving… considering accommodation ... but with coronavirus ...
Manchester to Copenhagen with RA Dept Thur 19:25 arrive CPH 22:15 for ONLY £16
Overnight BUSES dept around midnight on match day will get into Baku around 10am... Other option is STAY AT TBS AIRPORT UNTIL 01:20AM and fly with BUTA AIR for €49 arriving Baku at 02:30... ON TO ROMECheapest is Wizz air from KUTAISI to BOLOGNA WHO HAVE NOW ADDED A GREAT ADDITIONAL FLIGHT: on FRIDAY 19th ITS ONLY £24 + £8 for luggage. This NEW Wizz flight departs at 16:40 and arrives BOL at 18:40 Ryan Air dept SATURDAY at 2230 and arrives Bologna match day at 00:15 – same price as WIZZ… Overnight train to Tbilisi is £15 sleeper - but you can also fly from Baku to TBS for around £40 / 3 daily with Buta Air. Bus from TBS airport to Kutaisi airport around £10 3-hours. More enjoyable (and my choice) Buta Air to TBS on morning of 18th - £40 - arrive TBS 1040 Overnight Train from TBS to YEREVAN at 2020 - wake up to the magnificent site of Mt Ararat at 0630 - £15 in a 4-bed cabin or £22 in a 2-bed. If you don't fancy the train, Tbilisi to Yerevan is a little over 5 hours in a shared marshrutka / £10. Fly YEREVAN to ROME on 20th for £62+£8 for luggage on Ryan Air - Dept at 1pm and arrive Rome 3pm - day before match - MUCH BETTER TIMES ;-) if money is less of a concernFly with Buta Air afternoon of 19 to TBS - two hour stop-over and then connect onto the Georgian Airline flight to Bologna at 18:30 arriving Bologna at 20:30 - £142 + £40 for Buta Air ... <!----><!----><!----><!---->

Even for those that have not yet applied, or have no FAW code / points, you can still register today and APPLY TOMORROW STARTING 1PM in the Official Re-Sale Portal, for Italy v Wales tickets. Be sure to get a Welsh fan's / friend's GROUP ID - its a serial number they get once they have already bought a ticket - and you have a great chance to be in the Welsh end!
Just in case you don't know ... THERE ARE PLENTY OF TICKETS (EVEN CAT. 3 for €30) FOR BOTH GAMES IN BAKU - you can log on at any time (even today) and get those!! www.uefa.com/uefaeuro-2020/event-guide/baku/ - click on BUY TICKETS FOR BAKU ...

What day and time do you need to leave Tblisi? Are you heading home or on to Rome? Fly out of Tbilisi at 5:10am on Saturday 20th, heading to Rome. So my thought was to pick up the overnight train 18th - 19th, day in Tbilisi and then crash at airport for 5:10 flight. Just concerned that If I can’t get that 18th train, I’m stumped.
