A lot of seats not renewed for the campaign. Canton is virtually a sell out but can still get seats together either side of the half way line.
Not really a massive shock and I will imagine they will put a WCQ tournament ticket on sale around Christmas.

Not really a massive shock and I will imagine they will put a WCQ tournament ticket on sale around Christmas. I've not bothered renewing, nor have any of my usual group. The home Nations League fixtures are disastrous for north Walians, out of the three one is a Monday night and the other is a Tuesday night. I'd only be trying to flog them anyway. I suspected sales weren't great given how many emails I'd received from the FAW. I'm sure they'll open again for the WCQ.

Didn’t renew my membership on time to keep my seat but most of my mates didn’t renew anyway. We’re Manchester/North Wales based so as said a nightmare for us.
Can’t even do the Friday night game as flying to Montenegro that night. Ended up getting a new campaign ticket though just to get decent seats in the Canton but came very close to not bothering.

First time I haven't had a tournament ticket since 2016, usually have a block of 4 seats together. I'll probably still go to the games but I have friends who can't commit to all of them, and it's also a pain to buy extras in the same area if more people want to join us. I live near London so in a similar position to fans in north and west Wales who have to book days off from work to attend matches. It also doesn't help that we don't yet know the world cup qualifying fixtures.

I went to the first home game under Giggs against Ireland - certainly wasn't a sell out and think it will take a few good performances to get back towards that. I am confident under Bellamy though that the fans will quickly become excited to watch the way we play

Any early shouts what the squad for September might look like? My hopes are: 1) Bit of a goalkeeper shake up. Either bringing in a youth player or Owen Evans 2) Other striking options explored, be that Will Evans, Mullin, Issaka, Joe Taylor 3) In one of Bellamy's recent podcast/talks he mentioned that there is a really talented eligible player who is currently with England who he really wants to play for us. He said that he has the player's dad's number so he will be placing a call. I wondered whether he was talking about Ashley Phillips. A nice surprise like this would be great I'm not really expecting too many differences in the squad, I expect the big changes to come through playing style

UEFA steps in to fix Montenegro pitch ahead of Wales game The article says that the pitch was deemed unsuitable for a Conference League qualifier last month, and there were concerns the Wales game needed to be moved. Sounds like they have re-allocated club games to ensure the pitch is ready for the Nations League www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c51y13wjqdeo

Ticket sales have been decent for the past couple of weeks, I would expect a crowd on a par with Giggs’ first match in charge, around 25,000. It’s ten years since we played Bosnia on that Friday night & things started to take off, so, with very few exceptions, our crowds have now been good for a decade.

Yeah the original stadium is basically a sell out other than the posher seats, so I agree it will be nearer to 30k than 20k the attendance, at least. I can never really understand how we went from 11-12k crowds to a 30k crowd overnight!

It was a combination of factors that night, we had won our first game, albeit fortuitously, it was our first home game & it was a Friday night, which is the best night of the week for football after a Saturday. Most importantly though, we had one of the top three players in the world playing for us & he was at the very peak of his powers. It all snowballed from there really, by the time we played Belgium at home we were on a roll & sellouts were a formality.

We *earned* that draw against Bosnia as well mind. The fight we put up against the side who should have comfortably finished second in that group was great, and something we hadn't seen before from a Wales team. you could feel the fans getting worked up by it and in turn the players worked harder, and that game, for me, really was the start of it all.

It was a good Bosnia side as well, impressive that we held on and what I think was important as well is the way we held on with 10 men against Cyprus. Lower crowd that night but meant we were going to Belgium on 7 points from 9 and a real shot at qualifying

Bellamy's first squad will be announced @ 10:00 on Wednesday next week No doubt exciting in itself, but the key excitement comes from the first lineup he names. He doesn't seem the type who'll go with continuity for me and he'll look to put his stamp on things early on. Expecting a couple of surprises (so in theory I won't be too surprised!)

It’s the first time since Giggs was appointed that we have genuinely had a new broom, Page’s squad selections were very much in the continuity mode.

New face and recall

recall - I'm guessing Harris or Sorba - probably the former. Is the new face known to us? That's a difficult one - can't be Mullin and surely won't be Will Evans or Aaron Collins. Can't think of any other obvious potential new faces

Would love to see Joe Taylor called up as the newbie. Hopefully gets a move before transfer window ends. His squad omissions (at u21s too) have continually baffled + frustrated me! Ash Phillips wouldn’t be too bad either, although appreciate he’s embedded within England’s system. My money’s on it being Owen Evans to somehow motivate the most unmotivated bunch of keepers in world football!

Can't think of any other obvious potential new faces Paul Mullin has just returned to training on grass. We seriously need a goalkeeper who is a regularly starting games at championship level at least.

New face as a keeper or striker would be welcome, although I suspect the recall is Mark Harris to satisfy that criteria. So my money would be on a keeper - Owen Evans must be the front runner there

When does a squad call up count as recall? (for example missing out on the previous squad?) if so there is more than 1

Hope Bellamy can get players like this involved and declare himself for Wales, he might get his head turned to us if we start well under Bellamy, would love to see the lad Callum Doyle also but dont think that is likely at all but we could try again he would be a starter for years to come. Hedges with a nice finish the other day think he deserves a call up Hope Bellamy has a few surprise names in the mix would love to see Will Evans get a go

Joe Taylor or Ash Philips are the obvious candidates. Either (or both) would be welcome. I'd be surprised, but pleasantly do, were he to select Will Evans, Aaron Collins or Paul Mullin. It would be a bold statement that he's looking at a player's credentials over and above playing status.

It would be a bold statement that he's looking at a player's credentials over and above playing status. I'd be ecstatic with Ash Phillips, but the evidence strongly suggests he's holding out for England and would probably only settle for us when he's in his mid 20s and shown that he's not quite good enough for England. Think DS has basically confirmed that he isn't the new face unfortunately. After reading the other posts, I agree it'll probably be someone like Owen Evans.
