Between now and Qatar we must seriously work on the mental aspect of holding on, I'd much rather we make these mistakes now but we absolutely have to learn from it, we can't do that in a major tournament. I know its frustrating, but I don't think we have a habit of conceding late goals. The Netherlands yeah absolutely freak results and coincidence... but Ukraine threw everything at us, Austria did too, we drew with Belgium in Qualifiers and Nations League. I am OK with labeling this a freak coincidence and move on, but I'll be a made to look a fool if it does happen again. The thing is we've done it twice in our last three games and it's the kind of thing that can affect players mentally and it becomes a habit. Remember years ago when Spurs went through a phase of throwing away 3-0 leads? We can't afford for this sort of thing to start becoming a habit, not ever but especially not for the first World Cup that we've actually qualified for.

Great trip. Great city. Great atmosphere. Dreadful airport! Rotterdam airport? Was impressed myself. Quiet!

Relax?! I, for one, am glad that this gruelling set of games is over and my stress levels can take a break for a few months 😅 Absolutely with you on this. Being a Wales and Wrecsam fan has taken "gruelling" to a new level over the last month. Talk about an emotional rollercoaster. I just need a lie down for a bit now. Honestly, it had gotten to the stage that I couldn't watch some moments of the games and had to go to a different room until it was all over 😆

Fantastic trip in Amsterdam and really enjoyed Rotterdam on match day. Away end was interesting, vibes of Newcastle with all the stairs to negotiate!
Small grumble re the ticket collection at the hotel on matchday. Maybe I caught them In a bad 5 minutes but they seemed a bit surly and miserable when we turned up. Felt like a bunch of bouncers puffing out their chests barking orders at people who were just trying to get their tickets and find ID etc. "lead booker only", "you stand outside", "get back in the queue".... Semmed strange to me as we are always greeted with a friendly face and smile on previous collections. Odd.

Totally agree .In Wroclaw and Rotterdam we were treated with the utmost courtesy and friendliness by locals. So very different outside ticket hotel. We had same experience as the above. No welcome, friendly banter etc. Arrived 30mins after collection opened. Treated as if we were interrupting their conversation. Wife in particular treated as an irrelevance - - “only lead booker needed”, “don’t go in”. We understand the need for ID but this is surely only needed to allow Matt or Lucy to match name with ticket envelope. This time had to show ID outside before going in and separately confirming to Matt who we were. Understand having these people may give reassurance to the ticketing team but we were not alone in finding the “bouncer” approach heavy handed and charmless. Training courses recommended !

Can only say that the ticket collection process was good for me, I was treated in a friendly and courteous way.
We arrived at about 4pm on matchday and dealt with a younger lad and an older gentleman, not the security staff who didn't appear to be doing much.

Interesting it wasn't just us then that sensed a hostile approach at the ticket collection, what made it more bizarre is I don't think it was local security either, I'm sure they were Welsh!
Hopefully just a one off, and didn't detract from what was an excellent few days away. I thought the support and noise was fantastic, best away end for a while and I've been in some good ones over the years. Great to hear Robert Page's Barmy Army so loud.... He deserves it.

Best away atmosphere I can remember, must be that WC qualifying feel good factor. Shame we have to wait 3 months for the next one but I could probably do with the break.
Even after losing the way we did we consoled ourselves with 'England get battered four nil at home' as we left the ground, nice little sweetener that was.

Brilliant atmosphere in the away end (to be fair, a brilliant atmosphere all around the ground) but it was a little bit concerning that too many people seemed to be in section GG. I think if Wales had scored early there was a real risk that there could have been a crush with fans falling on top of each other - people were standing in the steps and filling all the walkways.. Haven't experienced that at a football match for many years now - I can only assume that fans with tickets for adjacent blocks had sneaked in.

Same thing happened in Aarhus where there was equally shit stewarding. You get the 'stand where you want at an away game' mentality which I do understand but it's missing the point of having section capacities...

I was in GG... Agree, it was chaotic trying to find any type of space prior to kick off and the bar situation was a shambles for those wanting a drink (not just a pint but essentials like water). Looked dangerous to me. We ended up down the front and because of the raised glass bit at the front of the stand and the restricted / blurred view that presented, basically the first two rows were entirely empty. So maybe more of the case that ultimately, two rows of fans ended up looking for a spot further back with a better view? They definitely checked our tickets at the foot of the stairwell. I don't think once you committed to a stairwell you could walk between the blocks.

I've always said the FAW should sell the tickets and then allocate them once they are all sold. Issue is you get people buying at different stages wanting to sit with their mates. This wouldn't be difficult when collecting in person as they could literally just give a ticket out and log against who has what at the time of collection, rather than pre-packing into thousands of envelops. One for corky to bring up.

I was lucky I had an empty water bottle with me and ended up filling it from the tap in the bogs because there was no way of easily getting to the bar. I've not been ill yet so looks like it was ok! Mad that the food places downstairs didn't seem to offer water (or any other drinks). Was expecting more really. I was in FF and that one bar was serving all the away end so you could move between the blocks.

Ah fair enough! Couldn't see a way myself but that's more to do with congestion then.
The frites downstairs were decent mind!

I liked the perspex walls with spikes on the top, handy for keeping the Ajax hooligans in their pens.

Over the last couple of years, in 13 games against opposition I'd consider 'top teams' we've kept 1 clean sheet (Vs Ukraine) ... Conceded 26. Lost 8, won 1, drawn 4. Not a great record! Fingers crossed we have a fully fit squad for the WC, I'm starting to feel more confident now, if we have our strongest Xi available we've got a chance to do well!

The Netherlands games have brought back memories of the England game in 2016, for a couple of days I was a very deflated young man.

Absolutely not. He has more mistakes in him than any of our other defenders and is very clumsy. He's shown that every time he played for us and in plenty of Swansea games too. Disagree, he has performed well for Swansea

When he went off injured for their home game against Bth, the game changed completely to end up 3-3, despite being 3 goals up.

Hope people don't mind me posting this but I'm heading out to the Netherlands tomorrow, anyone who made the trip a few weeks ago what are the covid rules like there? Did you only need a proof of vaccination to get in? I've had a look but I'm nowhere near clever enough to understand the rules.

I was informed beforehand that you needed a covid pass and a health declaration form.Had them both on me but I was never asked at any point to show them.Passport and airline tickets and that was it.Not sure about others who made the trip were requested to display the above?

Went to Holland by eurostar through Brussels. No need for anything covid related not even proof of vaccination.
Went to Poland via Paris did need proof of being triple vaxed to go to paris. Also masks needed on trains in Germany with near 100% compliance. But no nothing in Holland whatsoever.
