But I think the joy comes from knowing that you were there before the hangers on and went through the hardship that they’ll never understand. I vaguely remember that Kilamarnock game I think, wasn’t it 1-0 thanks to Hartson? You knew we were shit back then when the Scots wouldn’t even open up Hampden for us. |

Our midfield are fucking useless and we're in the shit big-time when Allen and Ramsey retire. Smith is another lightweight midfielder to add to the list with Levitt and Morrell who get played out of necessity rather than merit.
Brennan starts every game now, no ifs or buts. Real shame Colwill isn't in the squad.

Think Wes Burns has probably played himself out of a world cup squad place. Sorba not much better and shouldn't go as a WB option, but could go as a forward option.
Strange to say because we've been absolutely dominated in midfield, but I think Ampadu and Wilson have played quite well. The Dutch would have dominated in midfield no matter who we put out there.
Disagree with people saying we're standing off too much and the midfield should press higher. Do that, and they'll just walk through us and score a hatful. Need to be disciplined

The crowd on Sunday were magnificent, made me feel proud, I recall the days when Swansea , Cardiff and Newport fans knocking seven bells out of each other behind the goal even though they were at a Wales game, maybe that's there was only forty in Killy. |

To be fair to the lads we've kept it to 1 goal. If we can get within range to bring the heavy hitters on it wont be too bad.
Not bad from James, Wilson and Johnson for combining for the goal, but it was a defensive mistake, otherwise the 3 of them together are terrible. Change any one of them and they'll all improve.
Smith and Burns just aren't at the level to start against elite teams, might be OK against the lesser teams. Tempted to put Thomas in there too.

I remember an incident just after he scored where I think it was Sorba who busted a gut to press high, Johnson should have followed suit and would have prevented them from playing out, but he just stood there watching and their CB got the ball in acres of space, starting yet another attack. It might sound like a small thing and that I'm being overly negative given he got us the goal, but I think it's a massive factor in football these days which is completely underappreciated. It has a massive effect on the extent to which teams can get on top. |
