Levitt is a lightweight midfielder and I can't see him ever being good enough. Pick someone more experienced like Sheehan or Evans and move on. But it's simple things things tonight. He couldn't even make a 5 - 10 yard pass. Schoolboy stuff. |

What worries me is this is the Dutch second string and yet it’s roughly what Wales will look like once the old guard have departed after the World Cup.
Only real positive tonight was Belgium coming from behind to hammer Poland.

We’ll never beat the Dutch.
They always turn us over because technically they are just miles better & that’s not going to change, particularly if it turns out to be a low tempo game where their players saunter through the 90 minutes without ever being under any real pressure.
I suspect that League A has come 2 years too late for our squad, let’s hope we are not saying the same about the World Cup.

This was like a B-team from the Dutch though, and granted their B-team will always be better than our equivalent, but I thought they were ripe to drop a few points tonight.
I just don't think the personnel matched the formation for us. Johnson and James uptop just wasn't working from the off.

I think we got to be more clever. Last minute attack that lad needed to be bought down on the half way line. Take his legs, hands up, take the yellow and we see out a draw. No team would think twice doing it to us.
Morrell was class fair play to him. Not sure he's in line for a start but he's definitely Joe Allen's understudy.
Big chance for Johnson to move above James but was outshone by him, James stays ahead of him for the moment.
Levitt wasn't the best but did OK against Poland. Far away from a proper match for us though.
Good to see RND off the mark.

We made some big mistakes tonight. I know Page is in relatively experimental mode with these Nation League games but we still have to take them seriously. We got a play-off partly due to the Nations League and we need to try to improve on our rankings. I understand why we couldn't play the whole first team but Levitt should have come off immediately at the start of the second half. The second goal was a huge blunder that needn't have happened. A point would have been a good outcome. |

Criminal to let him waltz through midfield in added time, someone has to take him out. Someone near me said you'd never see a top team just let that happen and they're right - we're too nice at times
I thought we were good in passages, though a shame to see Levitt take a step backwards, it almost felt cruel leaving him out there. There's definitely a player in there though, talk of moving on from him is premature
I think the rest of the mudfield did pretty well, Morrell in particular looked comfortable and you'd never believe he's a 3rd tier player. Wilson did well again, both a cut above Smith
RND did well again, though I think we saw tonight why Rodon doesn't play for Spurs. He tends to be ponderous on the ball and though his runs forward look great they rarely go anywhere, in fact we often lose the ball
Thought Colwill looked alright when he came on, seems to have gotten even bigger! He could well be a great asset if he gets used to his size, the technical ability is there

Hope our staff and players learn fast. Subbing off Ward at half time was bizarre. If RND keeps that up, we'll be trying to fit him into the first team. Hope Levitt overcomes whatever the issue was tonight. He's not going to get too many more chances? Restricted the Dutch to 2 shots on target. |

Just a bit annoying that we've fielded 2 weakened teams and got 2 hard luck stories out of it. |

The Netherlands are like a bear that gets angry when he’s prodded.
In the late 90s we went 1-0 up against them & second half they just murdered us, likewise in that friendly a few years ago when we pegged them back twice, but they just went up the other end & scored again. Same tonight.
I’ve seen us qualify for a major tournament for the first time & then I’ve seen us follow it up. Then last Sunday I saw us get to a World Cup.
I honestly don’t think I’ll ever see us beat the Dutch.
