Checked in for Flydubai tomorrow and they’ve sent our boarding passes through.
Do we still need the Eterhaz app?

Don’t forget If you’re in Dubai and went to the USA game and going to the Iran match you’ll need to update your Hayya matchday info

I had the same issue yesterday - all I could select was car permit. Then today I have received an email saying my Hayya application has been approved, and another email with the entry permit. I guess they have done this automatically based on the fact I have a ticket for the Iran game. Only strange thing is under Accommodation Type it says "OHR Number".
Anyone else had this?

I just had my Application Approval ….again. Tell you what I was getting twitchy and 30mins from calling the helpline.
So when I tried to do my ‘accommodation request’ which in my case is matchday entry I also was only given a car pass option only
I’m not sure how but after logging in via the email I somehow got to the various accommodation/ match day options and there was the holy grail allowing me to add my match day entry details. I’m the proud owner of an updated Hayya visa and can relax. Football shouldn’t be this complicated,
Waka Waka…I’m going to Qatar …Again

Whe I had my approval email, again, stating accomodation pending it took me to the car pass option. I knew this wasn’t what I wanted as I witnessed the others in my group add their matchday details yesterday and they never came across this. I did click on the car pass option and if I remember correctly I saw this OHR number and took it to the car registration number but I could be wrong as I left the page rapid. As mentioned in my previous post in fiddled through the link on the email received and somehow got to the match day option I needed.

Maybe the entry permit I have will be ok, but slightly worried they won't let me through at the airport...

It’s a sh1t app, and I can’t advise as they quote 5 days to process There is a number you can call, I called them yesterday and they answered reasonably quickly, I told them I was concerned my pending reapplication wouldn’t be processed quick enough, she said leave it till today and if it’s not sorted yiu can call them and if I understood it correctly they have an ‘emergency team’ that can get it sorted. That’s was my plan B today but luckily it was all resolved I’m not sure if the telephone call cost but if you’ve invested this much money and time a £25 telephone call is worth it IMO The Hayya phone number is +974 4441 2022 They were better than what I expected

Ask your hotel to ring for you, will save you the cost of a very expensive call and if there's a language issue they should be able to help.
I've been here since early hours on Sunday and my luggage still isn't here, but I've used the hotel to chase and make the calls, normally at least 30 minutes a call so saved me a fortune. Eventually found out today it's still in Manchester so should have it when we get back after the Iran game.👍

Has anyone had an email from Hayya to say your Match Day Visit has been deleted?
The 3 of us received it and some friends in Oman too
We all checked our apps and the match day info seem to be still there
There’ll be a lot of app refreshing over the next 25hrs

There were reports (don't know validity) of some fans missing the Iran game as they weren't allowed on the plane due to some technical issue with "boarding app" or some other such thing.

It was accepted for me on the last flight in

What was everyone's experience of being in Dubai and shuttling into Doha?
Beforehand it was quite clear how much we had saved by doing it that way, managing 6 nights in a hotel, return flights, shuttle flights and match tickets for 2 matches for £1,200 or so. That sounded substantially less than what those who were travelling to Doha were paying.
So in that regard I'm breathing a sigh of relief as neither were particularly cheap destinations, particularly alcohol-wise.
That said, I must say that a part of me wished it would have been easier/cheaper to stay in Doha as those shuttle flights ended up being mammoth and exhausting days, and in the space of a week necessitated 8 flights including our connecting journeys in and out via Bahrain.
While parts of Dubai were breathtaking and iconic, it also felt a very 'false' and unauthentic city desperate to attract westerners, and was simply so enormous that you had no chance of bumping into other Wales fans etc. It seemed over commercial and westernised to me. On non-Wales matchdays you also missed the atmosphere of Doha and seeing fans of every country on the metro etc.
But on the flipside, friends of ours staying in Doha reported it as lacking things to do and pubs being very spread out. basically you'd be in the same pub/hotel for 4-5 hours out of necessity, which definitely wasn't the case in Doha.
So basically, a part of me would have liked to stay in Doha, but another part of me is glad I didn't!

Thanks, will try giving them a ring.. I hope they sort it for you, let us know how you get on. It’s important to share any info as trying to watch a game of football couldn’t be any more complicated Sorry i never got round to replying to this but just in case it helps anyone with similar issues for the Englabd game: I phoned the Hayya helpline and explained I had what looked like a car permit, and that I was unable to delete it or add my Matchday travel details. They said not to worry, as I had a valid Hayya and a valid Entry Permit (even though the details didn't match my intended mode of travel). In the event I was able to check in with Flydubai, and in fact nobody even looked at my Hayya card until I was on the Doha Metro! So my experience was that if you have an entry permit if any kind, you'll be fine. Of course there are other issues people are having, but I know there were quite a few with the car-permit issue, so hopefully this puts some minds at ease.

I stayed in Dubai and shuttled in for the first 2 matches. I think this was a good way of doing it, but the match days were a bit exhausting, and I found i didn't have enough time to take in any other matches at other stadiums.
If I were doing it again I might try and find accomodation for one night in Doha so I could experience a full day there without being absolutely shattered. Having said that, it wasn't easy to find any accommodation at all whilst planning the trip!

I stayed in Doha for the first two matches and came to Dubai after the Iran match. I’m shuttling in for England.
I’m enjoying Dubai but concur with your comments about what it feels like. It also lacks the vibe from having fans from across the world all in one city. This I think is one of the unexpected (well at least to me) benefits of holding the whole competition in one city. Something I doubt we’ll see again and I suspect will something this World Cup will be remembered for by fans who stayed in Doha. It was pretty amazing to be constantly having chats with fans from across the world be it on the metro, in the fan festival, or out and about across Doha in places like the corniche and souk watif. The atmosphere in the souk is fever pitch at times.
Personally I’ve drunk a lot less than I normally would have, but I was never short of things to do in Doha. But Doha doesn’t have the extent of tourist sites like Dubai. Alcohol is very expensive in both but more so in Doha, and of course there are less places to drink. I’m finding eating out food more expensive in Dubai.
I stayed in a fan village in Doha. The accommodation was functional and did the job (although aware some had problems with their cabins). The facilities at the fan village were better than I expected with a large cafe, a street of food outlets, two big screen fan zones, shop, pharmacy, etc. But what made it was being immersed in footy fans.
My accommodation in Dubai is a lot nicer for a similar price.
I do think Wales fans were shafted on Doha accommodation. With late qualification when the tickets were released there was little choice of accommodation and you needed to book really quick to secure what was there. There was also the pressure to book quickly because of the no accommodation, no entry rule if you wanted to stay in Doha. FIFA said more accommodation would be released but wouldn’t say what or when so it felt risky to delay booking. But out of interest I looked on the accommodation portal a week or two before the tournament and was surprised how much choice there was - little good then though for fans.
