I wish I could say that 48-hour exemption thing means more drinking time before the flight back ... Alas, maybe an extra Turkish delight at the bakery ...

I have no idea how this is going to change the HAYYA CARD processing (I still have not applied, as I am unvaccinated) but it seems that the Qataris are gradually relaxing their entry requirements - the web statement is not exactly clear though ...
The following is a summary of the key changes that will be implemented and take effect from Sunday, 4 September 2022 at 6pm local time in the State of Qatar.
The removal of the list of Countries Subject to COVID-19 Red Health Measures.
The removal of quarantine requirements for all travelers arriving from abroad, with the exception of travelers who test positive for COVID-19 who are required to undergo isolation and quarantine in accordance with the procedures followed in the State of Qatar.
Regardless of the individual’s vaccination status, the following pre-arrival and post-arrival COVID-19 testing measures are required for travelers coming to Qatar: Citizens and Residents: Must undergo a rapid antigen test (RAT) within a period of 24 hours upon arrival in the State of Qatar at a Primary Health Care Corporation health center or a Ministry of Public Health approved private medical center.
Visitors: Must bring a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test certificate with a negative result received within 48 hours from the scheduled flight to the State of Qatar or a rapid antigen test (RAT) with a negative result received within 24 hours, from the scheduled flight to the State of Qatar

Anyone else that has ordered a physical Hayya card had an email from DPD UK saying that a package (from a Dubai based courier) is on its way?

Anyone else that has ordered a physical Hayya card had an email from DPD UK saying that a package (from a Dubai based courier) is on its way? My dad's physical Hayya card turned up via DPD last week. Still waiting on mine, haven't heard anything yet. My Hayya card got approved a while ago before physical cards were an option, I said yes to the physical card option once it became available. My dad however did his Hayya application a while after I did when physical cards were an option from the start. So they must be going through those ones first.

This is all exceptionally confusing. My reading of the UK FCO site is that no PCR in the preceding 48 hours is required if you have fully vaxed and can show this on the UK covid pass. Big problem. Uk Covid pass is actually England only. Welsh residents will need to upload their vax proof to the Qatari govt site, but the FCO is not clear whether this also means you don’t need the PCR 48 hours before travel. I’m not sure I’d worry about it too much until closer to the time. Rules may change again.

Too early to worry about Covid rules, they are bound to change them with the tournament in mind.
As for the Hayya, I applied a couple of weeks ago for digital only and had it approved within a couple of days. All details are on the app except for tickets, they'll probably be loaded on closer to the time when seats have been allocated and resales out of the way.

Still not received it yet, but looking on tracking it is due to be delivered tomorrow.

Just had a text to say my Hayya will be delivered today. Note that it will be from something called ARAMEX. Just in case anyone thinks it could be a scam!

I know this has been touched on previously but I am facing real problems in the HAYYA Card application process and beginning to get worried. In particular the system won't accept a copy of my passport page photo. Every other section of the application is fine including my profile photo. I have resized the passport file size to under 2mb, renamed the file, saved the file and made sure it's jpeg, but still no joy. Having contacted HAYYA customer services numerous times and done everything they have suggested, they have gone silent on me. Their last email confirmed all the individual bits of information I am providing is correct. Any ideas?

I think scanner is the best option as the bar code at the bottom of your passport page needs to be crystal clear, it can be distorted or slightly blurred if taken as a photo which might be why its getting rejected? If you haven't tried scanning yet I'd recommend. You can pick up a printer/scanner from Argos for under £50. Not ideal but if you're concerned then might be worth it to get it done.

Don’t keep persisting with the same photo. Take another one and try again. I had an issue with my profile photo, tried everything to make it work but wouldn’t have it. Took another one and it was accepted straight away.

Looking for some advice from someone who's gone through the process. Having thought long and hard about things I made the decision to base myself in Dubai and fly in on the match day shuttles. I've submitted my Hayya application and its currently going through the various stages. Ive just uploaded details for the USA match, but I"m unable to enter detailsfor the Iran game as the system only allows 1 entry. Has anyone encountered this and if so how did you get around it? Thanks

Thanks for the help but I still can't get past the first page of the HAYYA card application. The problem is uploading/saving the passport page. I have tried most things now - lowering the file size to less than 2mb, changing to a JPEG file, amending the file name, scanning as opposed to taking a photo copy etc. The info@Hayya and fans@Hayya admin teams are of no help other than stating the bleeding obvious! Been trying for over 5 weeks now with no luck! The process has taken the gleam off going to the World Cup! Any other suggestions out there?!

If using a PC/laptop (as opposed to mobile phone) try opening the photo of the passport page and save under another file name using the photo software that is on your PC/laptop and then upload the new version. I am aware that has worked for some.

You can only have one hayya card at a time which lasts just one match visit if doing the day trips from Dubai. I too have got my hayya card for the USA game. From what I can gather once you leave Qatar after the USA game your hayya card will revert back to 'pending accommodation confirmation' until you specify your accommodation for the second match where you choose the matchday option once more. All a bit of a pain in the arse but the confirmation usually comes back within a few hours.

Just done our Hayya application for our gang
Our tickets were bought in two applications
USA & Iran on one purchase / application & England on another
When we applied for the Hayya card we only could put on the application for the USA game and Iran
Does anyone know what the deal is with adding the England game application number or will we need to register it?
My app only shows the USA game too if that makes any difference

Thanks Gary,
Just one more thing, as we’re flying in and out of Doha for each game (matchday visit) I imagine we can only input the travel info one game at a time and not all 3

Wonder if anyone on here can give me some advice. I've been trying to load my passport photo onto the Hayya application but every time I get the message 'Special characters other than . - _ are not allowed in the image file name'. I have no idea what this means or how to solve the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What is the name of the file you’re trying to load on to the system? Try saving it again and giving it a new name. I took ages to load my passport details, in the end I think the wife saved the scanned image of my passport as a picture and drag and dropped it across. Once you’ve done it, the card application s processed pretty quickly. My digital pass was back in a day or so, and I had my physical card with lanyard back within 2 weeks. Good luck with sorting the card out.m

Characters such as !"£$%^&*()+= Rename the file name without characters and give it another go.

Many thanks for the advice. After about 5 hours of frustration finally managed to upload the passport page but still not sure how I got it to work in the end.

Get a wet cloth and wipe that page. Might be dirt blocking the number. Get someone else to do it for you. Fresh eyes because it could be something obvious
