Any tips on where to stay? What area is best? There are a few dodgy places in Brussels. The area immediately close to the Eurostar terminal spring to mind. There is an underground in the city so that you can get to other areas quick and easy. I have stayed in the Rogier area before. An easy walk to the North station for the coach station and train from the airport and also into the Grand Place, Bourse, Saint Catherine Church.

Yeah general advice is avoid the area immediately around Eurostar Station (Midi). Also I thought the same around the North Station but that may have improved now. I would still be just about happy to stay in either of these 2 areas as they are convenient links as has been pointed out above. But I think in general it's a pretty safe place, just a little ugly in places.

I’ve always stayed near Midi, it’s fine.
If you’re coming on the eurostar it’s an easy walk and on way to the centre. If flying it’s probably better to stay elsewhere

The 1991 match at the Anderlecht ground was my last away match for many years, lots of inter club nonsense between the Welsh fans and to top it all we had hassle after the game when our bus got smashed up by the Belgian fans. Hopefully we’ll not see those days again. I remember parts of Brussels being a real dump.

We're staying up the road a bit from Midi station (Rue du Midi street), does anyone know if that might be a bit rough? Going to be my first Wales away trip this (got to start somewhere right) so a little bit apprehensive regarding the specifics.

I agree that on the whole Brussels has very little to offer - it’s like a thousand other places - Eurobland I call it. Bruges however is lovely & an easy train ride away.

I wouldn't be worried at all, as has been said I don't think it's an unsafe place to be, just a bit ugly/run down in places. Enjoy yourself and have a great time.

Ward Ampadu-Rodon-Davies Connor-Allen-Ramsey-Neco Bale-Moore-James
We could go into this with a whole team of players that are playing regularly in a top 5 European league aside from Allen, Connor & Bale. Feels a bit silly including Bale in that given he's still clearly up to that standard, but then again so are Allen & Connor
We could also sub on Wilson, Brennan & Mepham as top flight regulars (hopefully include Brooks in that soon!)
What a summer window it's been for us!

Wilson is out for two months so likely to miss that window sadly

What a summer window it's been for us! I know you're point is more about fielding a top flight line-up, but in terms of the lineup itself I'm still very unconvinced about a 5-2-3 formation. Not sure I've ever seen us play well in that formation? Under Coleman, it was a 5221. Page alternated between 523 and 4231 when he first came in and it was never convincing. He then went with the 532 (either with one sitter and two eights, or two sitters and one ten) from Czech away up til Ukraine and it's been by far our best string of performances since 2016. Obviously we went with the 523 formation you have there for Ukraine, and we can all agree it wasn't the best of performances. Really hope we don't go back to that for the world cup. We have to accept that only 2 of Bale, DJ, Moore and Brennan can play in my view as the system should come first.

Yeah personally I would probably go with; Ward Connor-Ampadu-Rodon-Davies-Neco Wilson-Allen-Ramsey Bale-DJ My favourite performance was how we set up against Austria when we played like this in a 3-5-2. Seems a shame to leave out Moore & Brennan but they are good headaches to have

Thought the allocation would be better than that, 5 stages and how many qualify for each suggests this might not drop to all members to me. Gutted.

They were tight with the allocation when we played there in 2014. £22 is decent though

Since we're going regardless I might be tempted to buy tickets in the home end if can't get sorted for an away ticket.

2300 is a couple of hundred more than Netherlands away which went to 0 aways before selling out, and also 400 more than Poland away which didn't sell out.
Belgium away will surely be less popular than Netherlands away, so I think it will make it to 0 aways.
Still tons of tickets for sale on the Belgium ticket site.
I expect everyone who travels will get in one way or the other
