Any chance that the FAW can secure a yet further increase in its official allocation, I wonder?
Otherwise, I envisage an awful lot of Welsh fans 'mingling' with the home supporters! Plenty of tickets available on the Royal Belgian FA website, apparently - albeit intended for Belgian fans, but no barrier it seems to 'neutrals' (!) applying too.

CHEAP STAYS
If you are still looking for a cheap place to stay, or have a free cancellation - check out the Youth Hostels.
The best located (but currently not available) is Jacques Brel. Think they only have 6-bed dorms at €24/night.
The cheapest dorms (€25 in a 4-bed) are still available at Generation Europe - across the water, not quite in Molenbeek, but quite run-down neighbourhood. Hostel is brilliant and even offers free parking! Their cancellation policy is 24-hour notice. Its only about 20-minutes walk to the Bourse. Great, fully equipt, kitchen.
Currently, the best all-around option is the the Flemish Hostel Bruegel, near Palais de Justice (metro Louiza / Louise). About FIVE minutes walk to Grande Place and Gare Centrale - Doubles still available via Agoda at £70 / night! I think that I grabbed the last single for €55. If Agoda ran-out, then try the official Flemish hostel site here - only draw-back here is that their cancellation policy is outrageous!

Most of Block D2 (the one next to ours) has been sold out, especially the seats near to the away fans. There's nothing at all stopping you buying from the UK so I'm expecting it to be pretty full of Wales fans tbh.

Thanks - so I'm guessing then that all told we'll probably be some 3,000 strong out there.
That will make for a lot of noise from us!
We need a win in Brussels and against Poland on the following Sunday, not only to boost our (poor) Nations League standing, but more importantly to put us in a winning frame of mind before Qatar.

Still plenty of cheap flights. Easyjet to Amsterdam then a train direct to Brussels can be done for not much more than £100 return.

As long as we match Poland’s result v Netherlands we will have a chance at home to win and not be relegated, I just hope it’s not a dead rubber, but either way it’ll be a party atmosphere I am sure.

Even if we win in Belgium and Poland lose v Netherlands, we'd still need to beat Poland last game to avoid relegation. I think it's quite likely that the result in Brussels won't really matter. Equally, we could still finish 2nd too if results go our way.

If you don't mind a 4-hour bus trip, FlixBus will get you into Brussels directly from Cologne airport for €9. Train should take 2.5 hours with a transfer at Cologne.
NB If you miss the 1015am flix directly to Brussels, you can catch the 1050am to Liege (€6) and transfer there. Train from Liege to Brussels is €17 and take around 60 to 80 minutes.

Good info, manulike - you are the new Simon Calder!
Looks like resourceful Wales fans will be getting to Brussels in different ways and from all directions, ahead of the fixture on the 22nd of this month.

P.S. Just realised that 'Simon Calder' is not necessarily a compliment - he's had some flak from Welsh folk in the past for some negativity on his part about his travelling experiences in our country.
What I meant was that manulike has done some pretty good research on the travel logistics for Belgium.

4 to 5 Euros should do it for a large beer in less prominent bars!

Most Belgian beers are about 8% so you wont need to buy pints of that anyway

If your currency of choice is Pound Sterling then the whole world is an expensive place these days - it’s nosedived against almost all currencies.

One of the great things about going away in Ewrop is getting on the local brews and eating the local grub. The last place you’re finding me as a bloody Irish bar.

Okay, squad discussion time. I do wonder whether Page might go with a couple of rogue selections to see if there's any potential of forcing their way in ahead of the World Cup. Assuming we're going with a squad of 28/29, I'm going to pick a squad of 29 to make it more fun - I don't think this is what Page will go with, rather this is what I would do
GK: Ward, Hennessey, A.Davies
CB: Rodon, Mepham, B.Davies, Gunter, RND, Poole
WB: Neco, Connor, Stevens
CM: Allen, Ampadu, Morrell, Levitt, Lowery
AM: Ramsey, Jonny, Colwill, Tyler, L.Harris
FW: Bale, Moore, James, Brennan, Brooks, Matondo, Broadhead
I think it would be interesting to see how Stevens, Lowery, Harris & Broadhead fare amongst the squad. Feels harsh leaving Burns out as I thought he was good against Poland before his poor showing against the Netherlands. Maybe he has something to offer still, but wing back is definitely an area that needs strengthening for us, so I'd like to take the opportunity to explore options there. 5 uncapped call ups, and I don't think any of the absentees can realistically be too surprised about being left out
Absentees; Cabango, Smith, Burns, M.Harris, Woodburn, T.Lawrence, Denham, Sorba
