Maybe we are better against quite lazy teams like belgium ,any team that press and put us under pressure shows that we can't pass it well enough to get ourselves out of trouble in a comfortable way,everything seems a panic,couple that with carrying a few players and a manager slow to make decisions on changing things up then this is going to be tough.Early days though,let's hope huh  |

We've played suicidal football today, unless we have 11 sharp, match fit and ready players we can't play that way, we have three or four players totally off the pace.

I dont care what anyone says, Bale and Ramsey are past it. Good cross field pass just then but then Ramsey just circles away when the Iranian gets the ball allowing him an easy chance to come forward. Too casual and sloppy which sums up our approach so far. At 60/70 minutes if the game is still in the balance we’ll need to get Bale and Ramsey off and James and Johnson on and play an intense press against a hopefully tiring Iran defence |

I've said this too many times during this World Cup already we can't play it around at the back, it is so dumb it hurts to watch I tell you what’s dumb is matey getting caught offside for Iran’s goal. With all that time and space why doesn’t he look across the line?! It amazes me so many footballers get caught in that way. |

They're happy to sit back and catch us on the break and we seem happy to pass the ball around going nowhere. These Iranians are really quick, we can't do this measured slow passing, they're cutting it out.
Again Wilson, Bale, Ramsey giving is nothing.

We have zero pace. Ramsey and Bale are offering nothing. I’d keep Bale on as you do still feel he could create a moment of magic. Ramsey off. Need to get Johnson and James on to have a go at them, beat their men and get decent crosses in for Moore. Can’t believe how open we look at the back against counters. Come on lads, don’t we want to give this a go!
