I don't see it. I reckon six players tonight get into another Championship starting eleven and two of those are from the three unchanged from the weekend. If we're being a little critical I would say they have: 1 GK 1 RB 3.5 CB 2 DM 1 number 8 3 wide attackers 2 number 10's 1 CF That's not good depth. I can only imagine they really believe in their youth team or are struggling with financial constraints. Which of them don't get into another Championship starting XI? I can see maybe 2 and they're a tossup My team (Cardiff City) are expected to be mid table at best but I'm not rushing out to get any of Darlow, Byram, Firpo (at least when Collins is fit), Gerhardt or Bamford if they're available. At least not for the starting eleven. Leeds ran out of steam towards end of last season - they only got that far due to Rodon playing with niggles and Ampadu playing all the football - and have less squad depth now, in my opinion.

On a worrying side for Wales. Roden was poor and Ampadu not much better. On the basis of last night they're both a long way from premier league quality. We really need them to both pick up in the next few games as they're essential to any hopes we've got of getting off to a good start under Bellamy.

Yeah, and Cardiff are far from the weakest team in the league. All of the players mentioned above walk into Plymouth's starting eleven.

The tactics didn't work when both fullbacks played high and Ampadu dropped between the centre backs to form a back 3. It left acres of space in the midfield area for the Middlesbrough players to run into during the counter attacks.
