Anyone know much about him?
We sold our pacey, 'play off the last man' striker/wideman from our forward line and from the statement we put out, he sounds like the direct replacement.

Assuming it's the same one he had a goal disallowed in the playoff final

Cool penalty and classy commiserations for Coventry players before joining the celebrations.
Well done young man.

Who the hell is he?
He's just 20. Comes on and scores a goal which is disallowed and then puts his hand up to take the second penalty under immense pressure! Then he consoles the Coventry players.
What a man. Played for our U21s but born in the North East! When I heard his name it rang a bell but I had no idea why! No matter how his career goes he will always be part of Luton Town history!

I know he's only a bench player for Luton at the moment but could be quite the rise for him. Needs to keep himself involved in the first team there and soon we could be talking about him for a call up

He seems to have come out of nowhere really, but has to be a really strong option for U21's squads moving forward.

Think that summary above is fair. Not seen him before but of our current crop, suppose he'd be closest in style and physique to Dan James? Goal was rightly ruled out for hand ball but he created the chance by pressurising the defender and finished well. To put his hand up to take the 2nd penalty was gutsy to say the least. Dunno if he'll make the cut for Luton's premier league squad. Depends whether they splash the cash or go down the band of brothers route? (Although from what Welwyn was saying, TV cash may be earmarked for stadium improvements/stadium move).
Welsh gran according to Dragon soccer.

Pretty certain he'll be loaned out next season but was brought in as the replacement for the pacey forward role that was Harry Cornick's until we sold him in Jan to Bristol City. Think he'll be earmarked as part of the 2024-25 Championship promotion challenge though.

It's genuinely how we will plan though.
Promotion is worth about £150m.
When it comes to the new stadium, we probably have somewhere in the region of £50m from the sale of the land by the motorway that has planning permission for basically a new Bluewater or Lakeside style shopping centre. That was meant to be the thing that paid for the new stadium.
Gary Sweet has admitted that the cost over the new ground has gone up by £30m (#Brexit Benefit) in the last few months to £100m.
The opportunity to build the ground completely debt free is too good to turn down. Therefore we need to put at least £50m aside for that, if not more.
That £150m figure also includes a significant figure that is actually the two years of parachute payments once we go down, which I doubt the board would want to spend before receiving it.
As a result, we probably only have around £20-40m to spend on both the wage rises and new contracts of current players and then the addition of new players.
The medium term plan will probably be that the squad building of that will be to:
A) build a side that will avoid doing a Derby/Sunderland.
&
B) then have an top-half budget to challenge for another promotion afterwards (as opposed to a bottom 6 one).

Makes a lot of sense and to be honest a bit of realism can take you far! Would put the club in a great place after next season which could see you spend more time up in the future Do you think it will be a lot of loan signings then next season?

Well the rules state that you when in the PL, you can only loan in 2 players from within PL and they have to come from different clubs. Wouldn't be hugely shocked if we circumvented that by actually adding a couple of loans from the championship as well. Edwards seems much more willing to use the loan system too as Jones was very openly hostile about it's benefits ('not in the business of improving other clubs players). Not sure how much work the recruitment team have done in terms of non-UK based targets as we have signed more players from Barnsley last summer than we have from outside the UK in the last 20 years!!

Another goal for him yesterday. As weird as it sounds, if he’s not in the u21s plans, I’d like to see him given a run-out vs Gibraltar.

Rumours that he's set to be recalled by Luton and sent out on loan at a higher level following 11 goals in 25 games for League 2 strugglers Colchester

Yeah, hearing the same, we are loaning him to lg. 1. Rumours were we had a deal done with Charlton to loan him there from Jan by mid-October but Appleton's misuse of Louie Watson may have put us off.

11 goals in League 2 during first half of the season before switch to League One side. He started slowly with 6 games without scoring but has now scored in back-to-back games to help his new side to two wins.
The goal against Port Vale yesterday must be the strangest of his career so far. He leans into the defender retreating towards the ball to give away a free-kick closer to the corner-flag than not; the ref blows and defender kicks ball to keeper whose heavy touch advances it forward outside his box; Taylor has a touch of the ball so ball is now closer to half-way line than corner flag (keeper walks out of his box to sideline for some reason) and all before the free-kick has been taken; defender puts hand on ball (keeper never returns to his natural position) with Taylor cutting off the cross the pitch pass (arguably not giving enough distance) to second CB but the defender tries that pass anyway; Taylor steals the ball, shoots and scores.

he is 2002 born still eligible for this campaign thanks, I don't believe he was in the u21 squad last time? He should definitely be included this time given his form. I can only remember him playing for our u21s once before - it was in a friendly and he really struggled, but he's obviously improving all the time.
