This game is calling out for Dan James in my opinion. I know it would be considered risky but I'd do him on for Neco, Neco doesn't look sharp. Or do him on for one of Brooks/Wilson. Kieffer needs his service

Listening with Argentinian commentary. Until Wilson had a shot on 32 mins or something Wales hadn’t had a shot on target. Commentary kept on banging that drum. What’s the attacking structure here?

Massive slice of good luck. Going forward we've been so disjointed. One of Wilson and Brooks needs to go off. Why do Armenia score every shot they have on target? Do they just not shoot against other countries?

Seriously - how many times have we kicked the ball down the side and Moore has managed to get their first and on at least 3 or 4 occasions pass it into the middle of the box and there is not a single player there?
That tells you:
1. Armenian defence is extremely slow - guess what they do not want to face?
2. We need players who are fast enough to get there and can score goals
I know I am going on but surely everyone can see this?
Again - 5 players have not played more than a couple of minutes for their clubs since Croatia - I left out Ward. We have 2 good options in forward positions who have been playing, one of whom is in outstanding form. I just do not get it - we all went through the pain of our lethargic WC

They've looked pretty comfortable, but the goal changes things completely. We need to bring James and Johnson on and press hard from the off. Their defence is very suspect so we need to put it under pressure.
Getting a lot of field position with long balls, but need someone to support him.

According to Page one of the new coaches has taken the front 3 and doing amazing things. From what I can see they're one bad pass away from fighting each other here. |

It was an absolutely superb finish for their goal, and sometimes you’ve just got to accept that. They haven’t created much else. We’re the better team, but we’re sloppy. It’s a tough game. |

Ampadu was poor for the goal. A few poor performances. Roberts, Wilson and Ampadu need to step up.

No player, no matter how fast, can take up two starting positions at once. I think it’s a matter of the players having success in possession sending Kieffer down that right-hand channel, but obviously he’s also the main central focus, so maybe a quick cross to the centre doesn’t work with the positions Wilson and Brooks feel they need to take. It’s not just a question of pace- that’s a different shape/style. Hopefully it’s something that clicks in the 2nd half. |

Look at where the ball came down - quite a way out, and it would have been an extremely difficult one for him to deal with - you very rarely see keepers coming for those. I’d bet there’s more probability of Ward messing it up that way and conceding a goal than there is of such a superb finish as the one we saw. |
