I'm just glad the atrocious officiating hasn't mattered in the end.
The big positive is that we played well and deserved to win. We should have confidence going in to the playoffs.
Also Page is safe for now. A change in manager now would be risky anyway, with the absence of preparatory games.

Wish Roberts showed as much aggression on the pitch
Page does not manage the game. The penalty was a terrible decision but its like we were coming under continual pressure before it and Page just things carry on we are 1-0 up. He does nothing pragmatic. There is no way we are going to come through the play offs with him in charge unless we have massive luck. We can say that was unlucky tonight but luck doesn't come into it after 8 matches in a campaign.
Why don't we press? Everyone seems to do it? Is it because we have so many players who are not match fit?

It was a shocking pen and I'm less bothered as it wouldn't have made a difference, but why ask the question of him? Ward was getting that all day long.
But yeah that ref should be getting dropped from UEFA matches for the foreseeable. Our offside goal was more onside than the pen, and that was clear cut.

Not for me. I don't want to hear that Page was responsible for that. The players produced the 50 min performance. Then a manager needs to manage things. He watches and reacts too late all the time. James must be unfit? The amount of times Broadhead lost the ball for all his energy - you can't lose it 6+ times with limited pressure when you can easily pass it on. That would cost us against a top team |

We looked more solid, cohesive, resolute and organised with Lockyer and Rodon, Davies together. Seemed to be a good undertstanding and trust in each other. Mepham also has it in him for rash decisions. Page should stick with Lockyer for the play-offs |

JJ will be playing for a top 4 side within 5 yrs, best player on the pitch. His partnership with Ampadu is the main reason for optimism from this campaign. Credit to Wilson as well though.
