Well we've never been a team that is good at dominating the ball. Our recent success has always been counter attacking and sitting off. When teams sat off against us it mostly nullified us. Under Bellamy we're learning how to be good at dominating possession, and moving forwards I expect to see us win games by larger margins than we're used to What changes do you think Bellamy will make to the starting eleven? Really hard to tell because I think it will really depend on fitness levels. I think it makes sense to have Moore as they will sit back and he gives us a threat in the box. Shouldn't have too much trouble pinning them upfield. In possession maybe something like Ward Rodon-Davies-Neco Connor-Ampadu Brennan-Ramsey-Wilson-Sorba Moore Out of possession I expect the same 4-4-2 shape Ward Connor-Rodon-Davies-Neco Brennan-Ampadu-Wilson-Sorba Moore-Ramsey But will Ramsey be fit enough? Will he want a more defensive mid in there like JJ? Will Harris be preferred to Moore? Will he want the fresh legs of Koumas over either Sorba or Brennan? All really tricky 50-50 calls imo

If he's planning on going 4-4-2 out of possession he's more likely to select Harris than Moore. Basically none of us has a clue! Take pity on the Montenegro manager trying to work out our gameplan.
I expect something radically different from the Turkiye game. Exciting times.

Having not seen the Turkey match except for highlights which were few tbf, I'm wondering about how Bellamy approaches away games in comparison to home games with his style of play, maybe it depends on the strength of opposition, but we'll see tonight.

The weather out here is terrible. I've got a horrible feeling this won't go ahead tonight.

I could well be wrong but I don’t think Bellamy wil start with Moore or Harris again tonight , think it will be similar to the other day with no recognised striker and Wilson /ramsey kind of false 9’s dragging defenders out with others like Jj and maybe Colwill making runs into the box. We’ll see! Looking forward to it.

Anyone think the weather might change the team he might have played otherwise,as in lots of standing water might hamper passing game so he might play Moore and go a bit longer

I’m pretty sure we’re always going play broadly the same way under Bellamy, using the same principles or ‘non-negotiables’ as he puts it. That includes a high press, winning possession as high up the pitch as possible, dominating the ball and imposing our game on the opposition. It’s all about working the overloads, creating the extra man, whether that’s through going short or long. We’re only going to tweak things around the edges e.g. where the triggers are, how we press etc.

Darlow Mepham-Rodon-Davies Connor-Ampadu-Cooper-Neco Wilson-Koumas Moore
No idea how it will actually look on the pitch!

Could be that Neco plays as a winger with Davies at left back. Wilson on left, with Cooper alongside Moore out of possession. The large number of changes, especially up front, makes a lot of sense given the short turnaround and travelling, plus another challenging set of conditions.
At least we have a lot of strength off the bench in Johnson, Ramsey and Sorba.

Perhaps a 4-1-4-1 in possession, with Cooper and Koumas behind Moore. Ampadu as a single pivot.

Perhaps Bellamy wants to see and give chances to as many as he can. Could be a great idea, could be disastrous. Bold move regardless, very bold.
Neco surely will be playing in midfield?
I'm surprised that Harris isn't given a chance seeing as he's our most in form goalscorer.

A 3 day turnaround with a long journey between games plus the conditions on Friday and tonight add up to a very sensible and pragmatic selection. We will have plenty of firepower off the bench.

Its certainly refreshing & keeps us all guessing ( not least the opposition management team)
Maybe he wants to look at more players in the squad and the capabilities of them in his systems?
In Craig we trust.

He clarified that the short turnaround was the reason for the changes. What may seem radical is actually plain commonsense.
